My friends and I stopped in Larry's for a quick lunch and a few drinks while we were on Venice Beach. The atmosphere was pretty laid back and the decor was interesting: there are fashion hats along the top of the bar which are pretty cool. The fish tacos were tasty and the margarita was nice and refreshing on a... More

Very disappointed with this dinner experience. The greeting by the host was surely at best, hostile at worst. On her cell phone when we walked in, sitting on a chair with legs crossed. Looked up after a while, then grunted to follow her when asked for a table for two, flounced off and dropped the menus on the table. No... More

Wasn't impressed with the friendliness level during either visit over the past couple years. I tried it on two different trips. The staff seemed a little 'unconcerned' both times and for the price, the food was good, but I'm not impressed.

There aren't a lot of good restaurants close to the boardwalk. We found Larry's and had our lunch there. Their salads and the lamb burger were okay. Nothing to brag about it.Service was friendly and welcoming. If you like good restaurants, try Abbot Kinney restaurants

I had the beets in a balsamic reduction and the Elote. Both were wonderful. For the location the prices were reasonable. High for other areas but for Venice Beach...reasonable. Staff was friendly, not super attentive but nice. I would come back just for the corn!

Close to the beach, this eatery is really great. Good service, good food. Try their seafood tacos's or green mussels: delicious. 4 persons for 100usd

One of the restaurants at the end of muscle beach, so location was convenient but prices felt too high for what you got. No fries with the burger for example, but extra at $6 for a smallish portion. We were there at lunch and service was not quick but the place did get busy. One of us had pizza and... More

We ordered Burger, fries and grains salad. Burger was nothing to brag about, and it was burnt the first time so we sent it back and they brought a new one. the salad and the fries were simply junk. The waiters were attentive, though. But since the kitchen was not food enough they had small chance.

Good: service, clean. Bad: Portions, freshness, flavorless, take interior, view of another building blocking boardwalk. Had salad burger and fries. All a la carte. Go elsewhere.

Great location and nice atmosphere - gets busy in the evening. Nice staff, loved the fish-tacos with raw tuna and the ample beer selection (I recommend the "game of thrones"-beer). The tip was already included on the receipt - so no need to add the tip additionally. Take advantage of the happy hours.

Thank naturale1

Staying in Venice

Neighborhood Profile
Venice has always danced to its own beat as the epicenter of bohemian culture in Los Angeles. Along the boardwalk there are street performers and local craftsmen selling their wares. Original paintings, souvenirs, and jewelry are on display. Crowds of visitors marvel at the sites while weightlifting enthusiasts pump iron in plain view, and skateboarders do their tricks around the skate park. All of it happens under the warm California sun with sprawling views of sand and sea. Heading east, the main drags of Abbot Kinney Boulevard and Main Street are lined with boutique shops, some major retail stores, art galleries and restaurants. Here the ambiance is more relaxed and upscale than the frenetic boardwalk area. Venice is a mostly walkable (and certainly bikeable) neighborhood, full of areas to explore.
