Some friends and I stopped fore dinner here on our way to a show at the Getty Villa. The view is spectacular, and while the menu items are a little pricey, the view is worth it all. Several of us had the pesto chicken pasta, which was excellent, although our friend who had a burger said that it was also... More

A very good choice in a very nice area . However for its price the portions are very little, you will need a side of salad or something to be full . The service is average . The food Is delicious . . I really like the salmon dish . The view is amazing . I would recommend it for... More

Had a late lunch here on a beautiful day and sat right on the beach over looking the ocean. The view and location are great and parking, while expensive ($9) is easy. We both had steamed clams and a wedge salad and everything was very good. We have no complaints other than the portions sizes are substantially smaller than comparable... More

I live in the LA area but hadn't been to Gladstones in nearly 30 years. I drive by in the summer and see that it is still incredibly busy .... and figured it popular with tourists but the food probably isn't very good. That's what I thought ....... But I happened to be in the area with friends over the... More

This place was a beautiful site to have a wedding at, the staff was friendly and the food was great. I was really happy that we had a family reunion there to see my niece get married.

The jumbo shrimp salad was divine as was the Gladstones margarita - great Pacific views. Not over priced but I think you could spent a fortune of you had the full works- extensive seafood and cocktail menu. But for a salad late lunch it was well priced and really tasty food.

Friend of mine who lived here years ago suggested Gladstone's for the view. Well they have the views and have good drinks however the food was below par and poorly presented shrimp, Fish & Chips were not very good. Salads were fresh and tasty.

I have been visiting Gladstone for years on my trips to Los Angeles. This visit was awful. A new owner perhaps? Dreadful menu. Food barely fair. Prices sky high. What a total disappointment I felt on this visit. Felt robbed.

Dinner and sunset (hopefully), if I only had a reservation - 1 hour wait...sigh! UPDATE 1: 1 hour 22 minute wait! This BETTER be worth it. UPDATE 2: Some restaurants hit and some restaurant miss. All I'm going to say is THIS day they didn't earn their Google and Facebook rating. I'm a very easy person to wow. I was... More

Every single dish we ordered was delicious. Staff were nice. Ambiance was perfect for lunch with a gorgeous view of the ocean. Few dishes we had that are recommended is the Ceviche & Crab Cakes.

Description
In a world where landmarks are few and far between there is Gladstones. Situated where Sunset Boulevard meets the Pacific Coast Highway, it's become a place of Southern California legend. Gladstones offers a menu plucked from the very ocean it overlooks, serving modern renditions of classic dishes. In its typically relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere, there's something to satisfy every palate. Whether you're at the raw bar, the lounge, the dining rooms or the grand patio over-looking the surf, it's commonly agreed there's no better place, either up the coast or down, to enjoy fresh seafood, a Mai Tai or a sunset. Over the last 40 years Gladstones has become a South California landmark. One visit and you'll see why.
