Busy upstairs restaurant, fairly large, in an upscale shopping plaza. Valet parking only, was slow and chaotic. Dimsum on a few large carts, moderate item selection, plus some other menu items. Everything we ordered, all dimsum, was ok but nothing stood out as memorable. Management was friendly, we had to take a number and wait a while for a table. Wait staff trying hard with very little english. I’d rate as very good, though below level of best Chinatown dimsum. Convenient location, though

Usual Asian restaurant where you find the Dim Sum that we love. We enjoyed how they cook the shrimps and spice them, not always the case everywhere. We had a good time there and appreciated the service which was friendly.

The service very poor. Like to take your plates away when you still have food in them. The saving grace for this restaurant is that the Dim Sum very very tasty. Just go there for the Dim Sum but service need lots of improvement.

Re Palace and Seafood Palace: This dim sum place has the rudest people working there! Watch out for the man at the desk who can barely speak English and who shouts at people. He is extremely rude. Unprovoked, he screamed at my friend and me, demanded payment BEFORE we finished lunch, and ruined our time. (The place was not crowded and there was no reason to rush us.) Shame on this place for hiring people who lack people-skills and who are very rude and who dump their anger on guests. I would rate this restaurant lower than one star if I could!

A friend of mine recommended this place and my wife and I loved it!! It's very nice, quiet and convenient. The food is delicious, and there are so many options sometimes it is difficult to choose from. Highly recommended.

I loved the food and the experience of having dim sum at the Palace. A friend and I ordered six different items from the carts and we could not eat any more despite our desire to keep sampling the many offerings. My favorite was the sticky rice in lotus leaf, which contained an abundance of various seafood. We also had pork and shrimp shu mai, two types of dumplings (the shrimp and cilantro was wonderful), steamed pork bun, and chicken feet (the first time I'd ever ordered them and I was pleasantly surprised). The very professional staff circulated regularly with the carts, and I truly wanted to try one of everything. The price was very reasonable. The service was very good. It's valet parking, so remember to get your parking validation before you leave.

Good food but rude maitre’d. Personable server. He was curt to two elderly ladies in our party. We will not return.

The food came soggy. Couldn’t eat shrimp dish as it was so covered in sauce and broccoli and the chicken dish had no flavor. Free delivery doesn’t apply per menu even if you live within three miles. They don’t honor what their menu states. Horrible food. Food was delivered.

If you are in LA, like Dim Sum and do not want to trek to Chinatown or Alhambra or to stand in line forever on Sawtelle but are looking for a place on the Westside look no further than the Seafood Palace. It has all the traditional dishes of a Chinese Seafood restaurant but every morning starting at 11 or at 10 on Saturdays and Sundays you can have the convenience of valet parking, the atmosphere of a small Dim Sum place and the wide variety of traditional and not so traditional little bites that make this such a wonderful experience. What is special about this restaurant is that you really get what you expect and will not be disappointed. The ladies pushing their carts and showing their wares are super delighted when you choose one plate that is not traditional for non-Chinese; the service is efficient. You can also order from the menu if you feel you still have room left after an hour and a half of munching deliciousness.

10 of us went there for dinner, and ordered some dim-sums and some dishes from menu. All tastes so good! It’s very clean inside of the restaurant and service was great too!

Very decent dimsum place in the West LA area, it can certainly compare to the Chinese restaurants in the San Gabriel area where I live... Gary is very helpful manager.. the only con is the parking - valet parking only... but that's not the restaurant's fault...

A friend visiting from out of town was staying in Sherman Oaks and requested Dim Sum and that gave me the impossible task to find a decent place not too far away from there. I decided on Palace Seafood instead of the couple of places in Beverly Hills. From the reviews I read, this place seemed authentic without too fancy. It did not disappoint! Seven of us got there around 11 on a Saturday and got seated right away. It was true that they do not (did not) get busy until noon. Even though the restaurant was relatively empty, they had a good selection of fresh hot dim sum dishes. Everything we had was good quality and tasty. The only complaint I have is the radish cake was not hot; It probably should have been kept in a cart w warmer. The service was pretty good and the staff were friendly and helpful. The bill w tips was $180 for 7 of us. A bit pricey but it was worth it not having drive to Monterey Park. The shopping center only has valet parking; I dislike it but I guess it saves you trying to find parking elsewhere.

We had sweet and sour chicken, fried rice, some vegetables, and some dim sum. All the dishes are delicious and fresh, we had a great time there and the portion of the food is not small so we were all pretty full and it is not expensive as well. I would recommend coming with three or more people so you can share the food and price. They also offer complimentary dessert at the end of the meal.

Visited here for lunch based on the recommendation of one of our LA hosts and thoroughly enjoyed it. The four of us had a number of plates of dim sum (too many to remember what they all were). Everything was very good. No complaints.
