We recently tried Katsuya prior to seeing the Blues/Kings game and we were all very happy. The service was very good and attentive and the food was fantastic. The waiter recommended two different rolls and they were both outstanding. We'll be back.

Food was okay. Their cod was too salty. House sake tasted like i was drinking water. Most of all, the service was beyond bad. Not worth the money spent. Definitely Katsura LA Live does not reflect a true Japanese cuisine, from food to service.

Nestled into L.A. Live, this is a neat place to go. Sit in a trendy interior or enjoy the open air seating outside the front door in a very hip lounge area. I tad difficult eating out there because the tables are very low and you have to lean forward to get to tehm since the seating is so comfortable... More

Had dinner here while staying at the JW Marriott at LA Live. The food was very good but I was disappointed in the atmosphere. It is a very bright open space that seemed almost like a cafeteria. It wasn't the setting I expected. The service was too fast. We ordered numerous things for several courses and dishes were brought out... More

I have been there a few times before and each time it gets better - the place is always busy so I recommend a reservation and try the Brussel sprouts!

We had a roll and a sashimi for a first course, ribeye for a second, and two more rolls for the third. All were fantastic, especially the one with corn. WE followed the waitress's recommendations. Pricey, but worth it big time..

The only redeeming traits of this restaurant are the location and playful decor. I'm pretty picky about traditional sushi, but I'm usually fine with mid-grade. This is low grade sushi. It took me 45 minutes in and out to have six pieces of sushi. They were not busy. The Maguro was discolored and soggy, and the Saba was flavorless. The... More
