I love that the clientele is mostly from the hood and you can pretty much always hear the conversation at your own table. The food is wonderful, from the Pizza to the pasta to the gelato! The chopped salad reminds one of the great LaScala salad on purpose but with chicken it is an entree. The atmosphere is as lively... More

There are two Italian places within a couple blocks. This one is the more traditional version (not regional, heavy food). The place is dark with heavy wood decor. Food is consistently good. Portions are big. Wine pours are general! Great for groups and dates. Not for families.

Was visiting friends in the area, they suggested Della Terra. Ambiance was warm, loved the old movies being played on the wall. Service was prompt without being overbearing. We shared the Grilled Artichoke appetizer - YUM!! I had the Bolognese, which had a great balance of meat/sauce/pasta and lovely flavor. One friend had the steak, the other the salmon, and... More

Della Terra Restaurant was conveniently located right next door to our hotel! It was raining so this place was God-sent! The atmosphere was very warm and inviting and the food was DELICIOUS!!!! My travel buddy and I both had the Crab Cakes Benedict and it was simply Marvelous!!!! It was accompanied by the breakfast potatoes (home fries) and apple wood... More

Beautiful hidden gem: great ambiance removed from the typical annoying Hollywood crowd. The food here reminds me of my favorite italian spot on the east coast. Favorites are the octopus salad, luganica pasta, black truffle ravioli, and the bistecca. They have a great and varied wine list - and the owners make fantastic recommendations.

We enjoyed our meal here as the service was excellent. The waiter encouraged us to relax and enjoy our wine while we made our dinner selections. We opted to share a Nicoise Salad and the Short Rib Pasta (Brevi Costole). The kitchen staff was kind enough to divide the portions for us. The food was very good! Overall, this was... More

Della Terra is a somewhat small Italian restaurant and bar. The Italian mood is set with Italy-set movies projected on a wall of the restaurant. The meal started out with complimentary pita-style bread chips and olive oil that were fresh and delicious. While there is a full Italian menu, pasta is clearly the specialty, as there are a dozen different... More

The Service: Love it! Very attentive, especially the busboy. Constantly checked on us, making sure we had enough water and no dirty plates on the table. Our server knew that we were waiting for the TV show taping at CBS (across street) so he didn't rush us or give us pressure to leave. The Food: Grilled Vegetable - Grilled seasonal... More

My daughter lives close to this restaurant. Our family came to visit and celebrate her siblings birthdays. Our reservation was for 8.p.m. We went on a Monday which is $10 pasta night. Our waitress appeared to be a good one at the start. We had heard there was a large group of 20 in and she wanted to get our... More

On the one hand, Della Terra is a neighborhood restaurant with moderate prices, good food, a nice atmosphere, and an extensive bar. But when a place is so good in all those categories, in my book it rises to the top of the heap. Sure, if you want to spend a LOT more there is a famous Italian restaurant a... More
