Bottega Louie…such a great place to go with a date or a small group of friends. It’s quite loud and crowded, very New York like. I’ve never been to New York, but this is exactly how I would imagine it to be. You’re immediately drawn...in by all the cute little pastries because there’s so much to look at and so many different colors. They have a bar if all you want to do is drink. The food was de-lish. You must try the portobello fries, but I definitely recommend sharing this with at least 2 to 3 people. We shared the lamb chops and lasagna, both really good. Overall, this is an absolute must, you will not regret it!More

Filled the day touring in LA with the Peterson Car Museum/Griffith Observatory and was directed here by the staff of the Westin. In my 50+ plus years in dining out at mid/finer eateries, I have never been in a louder enviro and I spent 20...years around aircraft/airports. The building wasn't build as a restaurant and the three story structure with no art work on wall, trees or attempts to lower the ceiling while lovely, it like eating in a warehouse. The noise is like moving around LA., an assualt on your senses. We were fortunate enough to get a booth in a back corner, so we could at least talk or hand sign each other. It really is a bakery cafe with euro bistro in the back. According to our daughter @ USC, the bakery has really tasty treats, but to the back we went. Wife had gnocchi in vodka, son had the pot roast pasta and they were both really savory, I had burger which was average. We had the Choc souffle w/bday candle for daughter's bday and it was outstanding. Out the door for 120 for four so pretty good for donwtown LA, our waiter was above average, but we got a free side of attitude from the support staff.More

Really tasty deserts! Not cheap but the whole atmosphere worth it. The coffee is cheap and I recommend sitting there. Good service.

Nice place for a more fancy breakfast before going on the metro, or a tempting dessert after a dinner downtown. For this you can point to what you want and find a table and the staff will bring it. We did not eat a main...meal here but lots of good prep going on for lunch. Quality of food is very good and nicely presented.More

Sort of like a mash of a grand ballroom and food hall, BL has a lot going on, including huge portions of good food (at least for breakfast) and artful treats up front.

Stopped in for a late lunch while in town on business. During peak hours, this place is crazy busy and crazy loud. I was pleased to dine duroing off hours. I ordered a Caesar salad and brussel sprouts. Both were exceptionally good. I believe the...BS were the best I've ever had. My only regret is that I didn't have room to indulge in a macaroon.More

Bottega Louie was on the lunch plan for my Besties birthday while we stayed in downtown Los Angeles over the weekend. This cute restaurant would be a great date spot or a girl's day out. There were so many different people there and therefore the...space is limited... Loud ambiance (my recommendation would be to just sit at the tables by the bar). I ordered a hamburger that came with the option of cheese/avocados and bacon as add ons (my burger had the lettuce, tomato, avocado and cheese and they brought pickles on the side); my order included fries. My two Besties ordered the Meatball Marinera that also came with fries. All three of us liked our choice. The items on the menu are a little on the pricey side, well worth it though. The macaroons were, however, my favorite fart of the restaurant, so fresh and to die for ( I ordered the Box for $14... I chose rose/ raspberry/ strawberry/ birthday/ & earl great). All the pastries looked amazing!! I'd go back for more dessert!More
