If French Macaroons are you thing and great food them this is the stop. One of my FAVORITE places to be in Downtown Los Angeles. If your visiting Los Angeles then this is a MUST. Breakfast, lunch or dinner is great. Atmosphere, ambience, the food is excellent. The service is excellent and consistently great with customer service. No one is... More

I had heard great things about this restaurant for several years, but never made it there. We finally had dinner for our son's birthday. Everything I had heard was true. Even on a Tuesday night, the restaurant was high energy. Although they do not take reservations, we had only a short wait. Would probably be long on a Friday-Saturday night.... More

A group of four of us had dinner a few months back. We got there early, so we had no problems getting seated. We had pizza and beers. Great pizza, and nice micro-brew tall drafts. We were near one of the counters, so it got a little congested around our table, but the wait staff turned it around for us.... More

Just treat yourself to what ever you desire! The scene is crazy but the food is delicious! “The chocolate soufflé is the stuff.

this is a fun place to go: the air is alive with people out for the day or workers getting away from their desks. there are lots of young adults present obsessing with their phones while attempting to have a meal together. it was a positive vibe all around, and the space is pleasant visually. it is rather noisy, however,... I lived one black from Bottega Louie's location, and was glad o it. I'd wake to a craving for their great coffee selections, and on weekend mornings I'd add breakfast to my my stop there. Wide variety menu, linguini with clams my favorite dinner was fresh and delicious. Then, or anytime I'm there I enoy their pastry bar, favorite in... More

This is a complete different scene from what I was used to find in my trips to LA, including attendance. Seems big downtown style has a lot of attractive here, especially amongst the younger crowd, which can be an issue since the place doesn't accept reservations and is usually (and rigthly) packed. Huge selection of interesting plates, very good service,... More

Upon entering you will encounter luxurious displays of hand made chocolates, macrons, and a dizzying array of desserts. My brain almost exploded, I do have to admit. I have quite the sweet tooth when it comes to desserts. You can sit and enjoy any of these delicacies in a casual atmosphere, or take a few steps more and enter their... More

I did not expect such a beautiful restaurant in this part of downtown LA. It was easy to valet, and once inside, the hustling and bustling took nothing away from the fantastic experience of dining in what must-be a to-go place in LA. I had the pleasure of dining with a friend who had been there many times, and we... More

I have dined at Bottega numerous times, and each visit is a new experience. I have had multiple breakfasts, lunches and dinners here, sometimes with an immediate seating but very rarely with an extraneous wait. Seating is available in both the formal restaurant and in the bar/bakery area, which is preferable for quick and light visits; both spaces, however, are... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.
