Animal definitely has carved out its niche in chic upscale cuisine. Tantalizing menu options that are anything but ordinary. Bone marrow, balsamic ribs, quail, sweetbreads, brussel sprouts with pancetta, pork belly, pig's ear, fried rabbit, veal tongue and many more. Chefs are very creative, with tastes and presentation. Definitely worth an evening with friends or couple's night out. Decent selection... More

Truth be told the boner burger was most delicious and other items on the Sunday brunch menu were less memorable but this place is must try at least once.

I'm not squeamish about food, but I don't go out of my way to make a "Survivor" challenge out of my meals either. I was a bit skeptical when I saw things like marrow, bone, beef tendon, crispy pig head, beef heart, and chicken liver. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised. All the food was delicious and the... More

This is one of the trendiest restaurant in LA, in a good way. Offal is the name of the game here. Very imaginative ways of preparing the various cuts of the meat. A little Easy-West. Best to share the dishes to sample the variety. We saw Daniel Boulud hosting a diner there so the food must be of a certain... More

It's all about the flavour here ! The combinations , presentation and style made for the perfect chicken liver pate, absolutely delicious , probably the best I have ever had in fact. The waiters were brilliant giving you advice on how much to order and what to order. It was a darkly lite restaurant though and I would have liked... More

This place is good, far above average. It makes me wonder whether my standards of future reviews of dining experiences will go up significantly. We were a party of 5. Used valet to park the car. Did a last minute reservation and they were able to accommodate. Once seated we were well attended; the service was knowledgeable, relaxed, caring and... More

This place is good, far above average. It makes me wonder whether my standards of future reviews of dining experiences will go up significantly. We were a party of 4, found street parking, and had a first drink outside while briefly waiting for our (reserved) table. Once seated we were well attended; the service was knowledgeable, relaxed, caring and on... More

This is our second time to Animal and we had chosen it for our one dinner out in LA for a short parents-only Labor Day weekend trip. The location stinks...as you walk in your wife could receive cat-calls from the peanut gallery sitting along the sidewalk. The menu is interesting, with many small plates and a few large. We had...
