In the mood for some local food while in the Little Tokyo area of Los Angeles and tried Hakata Ikkousha, fantastic ramen. Ordered the Vegan Ramen and added some tofu with bamboo. The ingredients are so fresh and the broth is amazing. Great combination of...the homemade ramen noodle, vegan broth with spinach with onion and tofu with bamboo. Great combination and an service for take out was easy and quick. Worth a try, and will go back.More

Customer service :5/5 Quality of food:3/5 Price: $7-12/per I went to Friday dinner time. There were not many people in the restaurant. We sat in counter. I ordered regular tonkotsu ramen with all toppings, my fiancé ordered miso ramen with all toppings, gyoza, and chicken karaage....Ramen is good, gyoza is good, and chicken is good but what's the difference between any other ramen restaurant in little tokyo? There are already 8 or 9 ramen store in this small area but I can't taste any difference here. Especially there are hakata shinsemgumi less than 1mile from this place. Same hakata ramen.More

There are many ramen shops in downtown LA. SoCal has the largest number Japanese restaurants in the USA and we have the best. Hakata Ikkousha (there's one in Torrance), is superior to Daikokuya, Shinsengumi, Mr. Ramen, TOT, the tried and true ramen spots in downtown....The black broth (garlic) is the nicest and delectable broth I've had in downtown. I like my ramen noodles very hard with rich broths like tonkotsu and black garlic and toward medium/soft for simpler broths like shio and shoyu. They have very hard noodles as an option here. Definitely worth a visit if you are close to Little Tokyo. This restaurant is fairly new but don't be surprised if there's a wait by the time you show up.More

Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering
buildings, bustling streets, and industrial
warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of
cultures here with a growing influx of business
professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of
Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts,
bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly.
