We were staying here Freehand Hotel and decided to eat breakfast in this restaurant. has Good atmosphere, The vibe seemed really laid back, but is not cheap. We spend 40$ daily for breakfast only , but taste delicious and the cortadito and capuchino were amazing.

Nice place for my birthday dinner. The food was good. I had the lamb kebab which was tasty as were our hummus & other dips. The drinks were great. My son didn't like the fish he ordered which I felt bad about. Nice dessert.

Everything was of very high quality. The lamb was amazing. For this type of food Bavel is more famous, but I find this place at least equally great.

The building was formerly The Exchange and today its now a funky and cool restaurant located in downtown LA. The food is Israeli inspired and its fabulous. The tahini is the best that I've ever tasted. The fries were a generous helping altho I found...them to be very salty. Overall the experience was great. It was very noisy but then again so are most of the restaurants in the downtown area. Good service too.More

Enjoy every item we had, citrus salad, hummus, eggplant and outstanding cauliflower. Fun to sit upstairs looking down to main dinning room. Excellent vegetarian options.

We went to The Exchange because it was close to our hotel and it just sounded like a fun place. There were five people in our party and the waiter was extremely helpful since the menu was a bit confusing and to be honest we...had already had one round of drinks. The waiter recommended a strategy for out table - try a bunch of small plates and see how that goes. It worked perfectly. the menu is supposedly Mediterranean but I think he said the chef is Mexican/Japanese- regardless - we loved the food and we thought the total bill was reasonable. We had reservations, arrived on time and our table was ready. Also we tried four deserts, which were very different and we loved them. All of us agreed it was a good time.More

Stayed at the Freehand and having breakfast at the Exchange was a highlight of my stay. Israeli influenced menu. Very delicious, not at all boring. Friendly and attentive service.

All I can say is the FOOD was amazing !! Yes it is really loud ( not my favorite atmosphere) but the vibe is great and so was the service Start with a few different appetizers which were so tasty and flavorful Had the lamb...skewers and the daily catch a Bronzino that were both delicious!! Very creative dishes , a new twist on some classic Mediterranean dishesMore

All of the appetizers, salads and plates we ordered were very good. The server was also very knowledgeable and did a good job. However, the appetizers, salads and plates were very small portions. The server said we were supposed to share what we ordered, but...the portions were so small we had to order more food. And the dishes were not cheap. The worst experience was the loud music. It was so loud I had trouble hearing the person sitting across from me and had trouble hearing the server's explanation of the dishes. We asked twice to have sound turned down, but nothing happened. The server asked us if we wanted dessert, but all we wanted to do was get out of there. We found a nice quiet place down the street to have dessert. Too bad we could not enjoy the good food. Definitely will not be going back.More
