Good Food Good service wrong timing Never go to this restaurant after 3 pm and before dinner , because there are very few items to eat , also I think that they have to change the policy of nothing to change in the menu , because some people don't eat certain food and with no changes it's difficult With those... Wonderful amazing experience and food. Tried burrata and anchovies on toast. Kill me. Tomatoes and cheese pizza. Perfect including burnt bits of crust. My idea of heaven. Lamb neck was to die for. Peas and burrata on toast. Healthy. Kale salad tbh just ok. Forget the Frites. Sat on shared table totally comfy. Loved bed the 20% compulsory service charge.... More

This restaurant in the cat's butt. Great service, out-of-this-world food. Be ready to eat anything, as the menu changes often and there are absolutely no substitutes or options. But the atmosphere is fabulous, the staff are great and the food... truly remarkable. So good, I bought their cookbook, which I rarely do.

We asked locals where to have dinner and this was the place to be. Communal tables were filled with conversation and great eats. We shared the tapenade, roasted brussel sprouts and crispy roasted organic chicken. Everything was tasty and delicious. My only negative comment is the restaurant is very noisy. They automatically include a 20% service charge to distribute to... More

We wandered in here on a late Sunday afternoon having been recommended by a local, although he did say we wouldn't get in without reservations. We did!! We lucked out big time and so glad we did. I think it was because it wasn't quite Dinner time. We were seated at the high top communal table by the bar. And... More

Had no reservation and the place was hoppin around 100-130 on a Friday afternoon. They have some shared tables so we were able to get a seat there. We had 2 more friends coming and while are supposed to wait to seat the entire party, they let us sit and tried hard to keep 2 chairs open. Didnt quite succeed... More

The place was buzzing and it was past 10pm by the time we got seated. I liked the setting as they have large tables that are shared by strangers. Crammed but cosy. The oysters were good, and so was the pea salad. The two pizzas had a lot of potential to be really tasty. Alas the edges were quite burnt.... More

This meal was a highlight of our California trip. Terrific food, very nice service. Everything was fresh and delicious. Our teenagers loved the pizzas, parents loved the good wine and creative menu.

Staying in Venice

Neighborhood Profile
Venice has always danced to its own beat as the epicenter of bohemian culture in Los Angeles. Along the boardwalk there are street performers and local craftsmen selling their wares. Original paintings, souvenirs, and jewelry are on display. Crowds of visitors marvel at the sites while weightlifting enthusiasts pump iron in plain view, and skateboarders do their tricks around the skate park. All of it happens under the warm California sun with sprawling views of sand and sea. Heading east, the main drags of Abbot Kinney Boulevard and Main Street are lined with boutique shops, some major retail stores, art galleries and restaurants. Here the ambiance is more relaxed and upscale than the frenetic boardwalk area. Venice is a mostly walkable (and certainly bikeable) neighborhood, full of areas to explore.
