My Mom and I love this place. We go about once a month. One of the things I love the most is the service. They are all so wonderful . The food is so good. Going back in 3 weeks

Too many choices both in menu options and teas. It is a perfect high tea. We make a point of going as often as we can.

It is a very lovely tea in a cute cottage with good service. Traditional 'tea' food fare with sweets and savory sandwiches but for the price I'd prefer to have a more grand setting such as the Four Seasons Biltmoe in Santa Barbara, CA or the Ritz Hotel. So compare and do your homework as to what you want out... More

We were there with an alumni group of about 25. Service was fantastic, food good: three types of sandwiches, two scones, mini pastries. Don't know if they would have refilled plates -- no one asked. They refilled tea cups often. Perhaps because we were a group, we had only 3 choice of teas; hard for 25 people. Very kind folks,... More

Don't let the atmosphere of this place fool you. The service was terrible. Our reservations were at 2:00 pm but we were not seated until almost 2:30. Our hostess never came to our table for at least 15 minutes. Once we ordered our tea and food, the tea never came for 25 minutes. The food came about 35 minutes after... More

Overall it is a cute place, but Watch out for dishonest owner and waitresses! My bill was $98 and because service was not that great I only gave them $10 tip which totaled $108. When I received my credit card statement I noticed that I was charged $118. I called the restaurant and asked them to explain to me why... More

The High Tea Cottage offers a variety of tea experiences - I have enjoyed all of those I have tried. The service is very gracious and (for the most part) attentive without being intrusive. It is a treat to be able to choose from the Tea cart, and try interesting selections from the Jam cart. The food is fresh and... More

Had a lovely two hour tea on a summer afternoon in this converted cottage just south of Ventura Blvd. There was plentiful metered parking , as it was mid afternoon, and upon our entrance found the tea room to be pretty much to ourselves. We were seated in th main "salon" room ( there sre two other anterooms, and a... More

Whenever we get a chance we try and make it to The High Tea Cottage for a tasty meal and a relaxing afternoon. Jen & Ken are fabulous hosts and the food and tea selections are yummy! We have never had a bad time there.
