I am an employee at LAC+USC Medical Center. Like many other people, we are leaving our families to come to work to make sure everything runs as smoothly as possible. It is stressful for us and for our families. What a wonderful surprise, getting all...this wonderful food. Thank you so very, very much for thinking of us. We all were very excited when we saw what you sent us. It was delicious. Thank you again, Nina, ITC LAC+USC VIP CENTER Los Angeles County HospitalMore

Authentic Thai restaurant in a North Hollywood strip mall. Came here on a Saturday night for dinner with a friend after axe throwing at the nearby LA AX, and it was such a good call. Granted the strip mall it’s in does look a tad...seedy and parking is hard (although there is a small lot right in the front) but it’s so worth it. We noticed a number of people too getting takeout, so it’s certainly an option if you don’t want to eat there. The service is super friendly and quick. I got the crispy rice salad with the Thai sausage and it came piled high with fresh cilantro and crisp lettuce. I got medium spicy, and it definitely had a kick to it. I really enjoyed how light yet perfectly crunch the rice was, and it was a good meal to have if you’re not too hungry but want something to nibble on or to have as an appetizer. I did end up taking it home so that I could have it for dinner the following night, where it still tasted good and didn’t get soggy. My friend got the spicy basil with pork (you get a choice of meat) and had it mild. It has a lot of rice but also a generous amount of meat (plus an egg!) so you’ll have enough protein. We split a mango sticky rice dessert which was a bit small for $10, but I liked the level of sweetness of the rice. The mango wasn’t as ripe as I would’ve liked but the dish was still a good ending to the meal. Bathrooms are available in the back of the restaurant for customer use only, and they do take credit cards (and can split the bill). Overall it’s reasonably priced with fresh, authentic Thai cuisine - I would be willing to drive out here again from Santa Monica to eat here.More

I highly recommend this place. Friendly and excellent cooking. They have really good renditions of some Northern Thai dishes that you do not often see in Thai restaurants. Unassuming strip mall but pleasant and clean space. Two visits. Once with a large group of adventurous...eaters for a birthday party and once as a couple. So I got to try many dishes with the large group. Recommend the Crispy Rice Salad, Khao Soi (Kao Soy), Crispy Catfish on Apple Salad (not on the website menu, this is not big chunks of fish but some crispy little bits of fried stuff served on top of a delicious apple salad). They do not have a liquor license but no corkage for BYOB. go get some beers from the convenience store in the same strip mall. No problem with a guest needing a wheelchair.More

My wife is Thai and we are always exploring Thai restaurants for thee best and most authentic. Sri is amazing. Especially considering how affordable it is. We love the soft shell crab, there is also a crispy Larb dish which is incredible and each category...of food, noodles, rice, curry, etc. are wonderful. I know some falang [non-Thai] have a problem getting very spicy food {pet, pet] at Thai restaurants and I found this is due to the fact that so many of us send them back. Even when my wife orders in Thai, they still ask and it takes a lot of talking tog et super hot food. They just don't want to take food back and waste it. EnjoyMore

Since this is one of my favorite San Fernando Valley Thai Eateries, thought I'd give it a second chance for the third time, if you get my drift. Started out with Fried Fish Cakes. They were fairly bland and undercooked. There was no taste of...lime leaf and very few Long Beans in the mix. A sad disappointment. Ordered Yen Ta Fo, a hot and spicy rice noodle soup. Twenty minutes later, we are informed there was no Yen Ta Fo. That's a long time to wait to find out your food order is not going through, especially while munching upon undercooked Fish Cakes. We ordered Boat Noodle soup instead. For me, it was a pleasant surprise. However, my companion was disappointed in the lean amount of meat tidbits in the dish, as there seemed to be more noddles than anything else, broth included. But what broth was there was rich and delicious and tasty and everything nice about a good soup broth. I tried the Hoy Tod, a fried mussels pancake, again. It is a fairly easy dish to make, nothing more than batter and mussels fried in an oiled pan, beans sprouts and green onions added to the pan and stir-fried afterwards. The dish should be a little doughy inside, but crisp and firm on the outside, and it should have the aroma of the seashore. Unlike the last time I ordered this dish where it came out greasy and limp, this time it was crisp and tasty. However, there seems to be shortage of fresh, quality mussels in the San Fernando Valley. The idea behind this dish is to have some mussels in it. You want to bite into the pancake and discover a slice of seafood delight. If I simply wanted a pancake, I'd go to Denny's and order a short stack. Once we realized that the food was coming out haphazard instead of family style, and we were fairly hungry, we ordered Kai Jiew-- a ground pork omelet, accompanied by a side order of rice. We figured it wouldn’t take but a minute to whip up an omelet. We were right, but it was also average, lacking any great amount of ground pork, or the browning sauce which gives it a distinct flavor. Since it is a fairly easy dish to make, it was what I was basing my final opinion on. I figured if you can't get two beaten eggs and a spoonful of fried ground pork done right, especially for the price, then maybe it is really time to move on down the street to some of the other Thai restaurants in the area. When I asked my dining companion to rate the food and the service based upon the price and the location, she gave it an overall 5 out of 10, but the Boat Noodle Soup she rated a 6.More

I've been going to this restaurant on a regular basis for four years. It just recently underwent an expansion. New waitress, inattentive and somewhat distant. Unlike other Thai places I frequent, there was little attention to detail. No spice rack-- even after I asked-- perhaps...she thought the "Farang" did not like spicy food. I finally had to get up and retrieve it from another table. Although the decor has improved, and the eating space is much larger--and can now accommodate more than the usual nine tables-- the food has devolved from very excellent and tasty, authentic Thailand cuisine to just average Thai fare. Why? I am not sure. Perhaps, there is a ownership change. All I know is that my fried mussels were tasteless and greasy instead of possessing the usual delightful and delicious texture of thick crepes, with the subtle essence of the sea and the crispyness of beans sprouts. My Sri Siam B.B. Q. Chicken was dried out. I seriously think it was left over from the day before and micro-waved. That is sure not representing the ideal of Thai fresh food. The Bamboo Shoot Salad was so sour--with way too much lime juice--that my companion-- a Thai-- and I could not eat it. We took it home and doctored it up to make it more palatable. It was a total dining dud. I drive past there often now, but I always seem to end up on Sherman Way at another Thai place called the Swan.More
