Guests are seated on cozy couches, chic poufs, or Victorian era chairs, and may listen to live music, watch silent movies, or chat while being served delicious drinks. The food selection is varied, but not vast enough as to be overwhelming, and the bite-sized dishes are the perfect size to nibble on. The black, gold, and maroon color scheme combined... More

Came here for a true LA bar experience. It's a very posh bar with absolutely stunning views of a restored factory. Pianos, beautiful dim lighting with restored mechanical equipment: totally unique! Book a table at their latest seating time of 9 pm: each person must spend a minimum of $50 to book a table which is fine if you plan... More

Great place for an upscale evening. I appreciated the enforcement of the dress code. It's nice to go somewhere with nicely dressed people. The service was outstanding and its a very secure environment. The drinks and food were very good. I would recommend reserving a table. The minimums for food and beverage are reasonable.

I attended an international conference and we went to The Edison for our conference dinner. It's worth a visit just to experience the place alone. They also served us some great food and exotic drinks. I'm not sure whether they are open as a normal restaurant though - it looks more like a bar or a club.

This is my second time to the Edison but this time it was a Thursday night and wasn't too full. There was a great blues band Dustbowl Revival playing and lots of people were dancing or tapping their feet. Drinks were good and not too pricey.

This place has become more and more popular and so is getting harder to get in, but it should be a must for any visitor to the area. Try to get in early (7PM) when they open on Saturdays, or by 5 PM on weekdays. They now charge a $10 cover with no re-entry, which sucks. The drinks are okay,... More

OK so I was expecting something different. Maybe I should rate it higher but I can't. 6 of us arrived to warm greetings from the door to the table. The interior is stunning! clearly some design and thought went into this club. I found it fantastic in many ways from quiet cozy corners to wide open areas. Well laid out... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.
