Wonderful food at a family-run, busy spot. Outdoor (dogs allowed) and indoor seating. Seems like a lot of locals, although it's near several hotels. Large portions. Excellent quality. Full bar.
Absolutely amazing! We visited the one of 4th and ate here twice while in Long Beach. The service was great and the food was even better. We both left very uncomfortably full.
They have the most delicious lemon pancakes. I don’t want a regular pancake after eating these. Be prepared to wait in line. This is a popular spot!
We wanted to grab a quick bit but this place is not for when you are in a hurry. Take your time to eat slowly. The oat meal was steel cut and a lot. It is right around the corner of courtyard Marriott and 15...mins walkable to the convention center. The chocolate muffin and scrambled egg were nothing special.More
Food was not the best, but the waiter Jose was extremely inattentive and rude. After we ordered he never once came back to the table. Never checked in on us or anything. We sat for a while after the busser cleaned up out table and...my family got up and left. I waited to pay and after waiting for 10 minutes I asked a busser if I could pay somewhere. He took the bill, my credit card and left. The waiter came back with the payment machine and started to yell at me because I asked the busser to pay. Jose was one of the worst waiters I have ever dealt with. He really needs to be disciplined for his behavior. Horrible attitude, horrible service. Never coming back and not a recommendation.More
We can to this place after driving down from LA. Parking is street parking, but free. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. We were seated right away and wait staff quickly took our drink order. I got the hot chocolate, not really hot more...like Luke warm so I would not get again. BUT, my order of lemon pancakes was out of this world great!! My husband got eggs and he enjoyed them. We also tried the breakfast deviled egg tater tots. Those were also delicious and I would have them again!! Location has a full bar and a very tiny gift shop area. Location is really a hole in the wall old time dinner with outdoor makeshift seating don’t judge it by its looks - go in and order!! You won’t be disappointed.More
Went here for lunch because it was next to our motel. It was a small restaurant focusing on breakfast and lunch. The food was okay, although the prices seemed a bit high for a place like this. We ordered the ½ Sandwich Combo listed at...$12. Note, this is not a typical combo of sandwich with salad or soup. The description says sandwich “With side choice”. There are various items listed under sides including House Salad. So we ordered the ½ Sandwich Combo with a side salad. When our bill came, the salad was an additional $3, although that is not stated anywhere on the menu. When we asked about the additional charge, we were told the side can be fries or a potato pancake for no additional charge. Anyway, we had something to eat and moved on. Won’t be back here for breakfast in the morning.More
Wait time seemed long but it moved quickly. However, once seated, service was extremely slow. Food was average. Prices were double what you’d expect at other spots. No standout items on the menu.
Popular local spot with homey food. Came here for brunch on a Sunday around 10:30am in a group of 4 and there was a 30 minute wait. You have to be there when they call your name (they don’t send a text when a table...is available). Indoor and outdoor dining. Single occupant restrooms available inside in the right backhand side. Credit cards accepted. Pets were allowed. It’s kid-friendly. Metered street parking. The employees were all very nice and efficient. The food for the most part was rich and heavy - perfect for a hangover or when you feel like feasting. The fried chicken and waffles as well as the eggs Benedict were a good call.More
Food was delicious, and staff was very friendly! We sat outside, and the area was pretty quiet. And, they played awesome 80's music! 😃 I would definitely recommend!!!
Whilst on a work trip with the weekend in Long Beach, one of my work friends took me to the Breakfast Bar for Breakfast and Mimosas. It was busy when we arrived but my friend said this was normal and after introducing ourselves to the...staff at the entrance and that we were happy to sit at the bar, we were told we'd have a twenty minute wait. We ended up at the bar within ten. Bearing in mind that it was also Long Beach Pride Weekend, we were very okay with that length of waiting without a reservation 😊. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much and when one of us had a problem accessing the online menu, an old school physical one appeared instantly. I had the Omellete Casserole which was served with a fruit bowl, salsa and a giant baked Hash brown which was delicious! We also ordered a bottle of prosecco and were given a. Selection of both orange and pineapple juice to have it with. We also had Bloody Marys for the road which were just divine. I'm looking forward to revisiting this venue on my next trip!More
it was fine. brian said the gravy was great so we got eggs and a side of gravy. it was fine, ive had better and worse.
Heavily recommended, we stopped here for a late-morning brunch. It's busy so you'll likely have to wait for a table but the wait is never too long and when you do sit down, the service is quick and friendly. The menu is pretty large (although...not massive) and although there is something for everyone, I do feel that they're missing the 'simpler' options, e.g. plain waffle or toast - though that said I'm sure they'd make it to order if you requested it. Portions are big and well-cooked, and always arrive in good time. Everything comes with eggs! Prices slightly on the high side for breakfast food but probably worth it overallMore
On our way to the USS Iowa battleship museum we stopped off here for brunch after local recommendation. Very glad we did as they have an extensive selection of breakfast and brunch options clon their menu which are all reasonably priced.
