We were headed to Ballast Brewery but they had a 4 hour wait... so we stumbled upon the Boathouse and it was fantastic. Only a 30 minute wait and worth it! Excellent trio appetizer and the best Halibut I have had since being in Alaska!...Live music was amazing! Very talented.More
Great food, beautiful ocean views and live music right on the water! Can you really ask for anything else in a restaurant? The staff is also very knowledgeable about the menu and wine pairings. I just love this restaurant... The photos on website and social...media accounts speak for themselves. I would drive over an hour to eat here.More
My wife and I had a great lingering lunch in late Feb '20. The food was really well presented and tasty. The wait staff was attentive but never bothersome.
I would probably go out of my way to go there again in the future!
We were here Sat 2/15. As much as we LOVE this place, we were planning on going to Ballast Point but it had super long lines and we were NOT up for that so we came here instead and are so glad that we did!...Eric was our host and he was Fantastic! The restaurant (especially outside was patio) was PACKED but he worked hard and was able to get us a table. Bella was our server and she was Fabulous! Could not have been better! Boathouse is soooooooo much better than Ballast because it has table service (that is exceptional!), excellent entertainment (never have been disappointed), Delicious cocktails and YUMMY food (The sushi is delicious!)More
Had breakfast there the other day and was pleasantly surprised.
Airport food is "iffy". Often very overpriced and poor. I sat down to kill some time and have breakfast and was pleasantly surprised.
The breakfast plate I got had nice scrambled eggs, sausage and quite...good home fries with toast. Everything had been cooked freshly and tasted pretty decent. Service was good too. I'd definitely eat here again.More
We had taken a Duffy boat ride to look at xmas lights and came here after, we had a party of 10, 5 were kids, ranging from 3 to 9, they were so patient with our little ones and the food was amazing, their sushi...rolls are to die for! Would highly recommend.More
Came in around 7:10PM. Long wait inside. Hostess suggested patio with heaters outside. Checked in outside and was originally told 30 min wait but was seated in 5 min because a table just got up. Hostess was very friendly and made me feel welcome.
Ordered...the braised beef short ribs with a bowl of clam chowder. Both were really good. Short ribs cooked to perfection and the clam chowder was delicious and hot. Hate warm soup! Also ordered a sushi roll called the Three Amigos. Was good
Buddy ordered the rib eye steak. He said it was cooked to perfection, and it tasted great!
I had the mudpie for dessert. I was already full but wanted a sweet cold something. Should have ordered the gelato. Mudpie was good. A little melted by the time it got to me. Probably 15 min to get it. Flavor was good, but not great (a little on the sweeter side), hence my suggestion for the gelato.
Service was great from the beginning. The first hostess was honest and suggested the patio. The second hostess was very friendly and figured out a way to get us seated asap. The server, Nick, was very efficient. Checked to see if everything was okay with our meal at least 4 times. Kept the drinks full. Very friendly and professional throughout the meal.
I would highly recommend The Boathouse On The Bay Restaurant. Since it was night time, the view was obscured slightly but the night lights made for a beautiful view nonetheless. I will definitely return!More
