My son went in a bought our lunch to eat in car. Best split pea soup in the world. Tuna sandwich for my sister and I, chicken pot pie for Bill. Then slice of lemon meringue pie. We all enjoyed it very much!
Went for breakfast after my husband did a little research (he doesn't do research!!!). I was VERY impressed watching the staff work, the breakfast was exceptional, the service was expedient. We were so looking forward to having a piece of pie after our late breakfast...but we were both stuffed (my husband is NEVER stuffed). We went back for dinner and I was thrilled to be advised I could take half an order that came with pie! Done deal!!! We are here for another two days and will be going back. There is no reason to try another restaurant when this one fully meets our needs. I do not know if they have beer/wine but it was not necessary for us.More
Great brekkie! We even got to-go for the lazy ones in our group and they enjoyed it as well. We lucked out and got there just at the right time...early enough to get a seat immediately...pretty soon after we sat the place started getting packed...and you had to get on a list. I would say it's worth the wait! Lemon blueberry pancakes were delicious!More
Our breakfast go-to for years! Consistently great food from awesome pancakes, omelets, quiche, baked goods, They have awesome sandwich and dinner selection and their chicken pot pie is the best. Wait staff is friendly and attentive. Hard to beat for breakfast
From Muffins to pies to pies that will knock your socks off. All of the food here is fresh and delicious and made on site and if you need to take a dessert to someone’s event they will never know that you didn’t make it...yourself.
It’s quite small so get there early at lunchtime so you don’t have to wait too long. Then enjoy!More
Took my brother there for his favorite-banana cream pie. He swore it was the best ever!
JONGEWAARD'D has been a neighborhood fixture for years. The quality has been consistent for as long as I've been going there- over 30 years.
But, you won't want to. I had the traditional open face hot turkey sandwich with mash potatoes and gravy. I'm a big boy and I didn't finish it all. And then the server comes and asks about dessert. We were all so full we initially...declined. Then we decided to split a slice of pie.
The next time we go we are going to have dessert first, and take the dinner to go!More
Probably the best pie we’ve ever tasted and the perfect finish to a great tasting, freshly prepared meal. Even though we have to drive more than 20 miles from our home to get there, it’s well worth it! So now, when anyone says pie in...our house, we always think of Bake N’ Broil.More
