Just overall ~ not impressed. May be Domenico's is too old school for me. We started with the calamari; too much breading, some pieces were cooked, some were not cooked, some were over cooked. The tomato bisque was the best damn tomato bisque I have ever had! Really good, wow. Next up, antipasto salad; great dressing, too much iceberg lettuce.... More

Went here while staying in the area last week. I was excited to try the pizza after reading the positive reviews. I ordered the ground pepperoni which tasted more like bacon bits. My family had ground beef which was a little better but still not as great as I had hoped. Doubt I would go here again.

Domenico's is a family run place, open since 1954. Nice Italian menu. Only one kind of dressing for salads, but their house creamy garlic is killer. House special pizza features cooked ground sausage and cooked ground pepperoni, and is very good, but IMO unbalanced with too much meat for the pie. One of our party recommended the veggie pizza, which... More

I have been going to Domenico's as long as I can remember. It's in the heart of Belmont Shore and a great place to walk to or enjoy dinner and then walk around town. The salad dressing on the house salad (served family style) is delicious! I also don't typically eat "pizza meat", but the ground pepperoni on the pizza... More

Ok, I'm a Long Beach native and first ate at Domenico's around 1968. The pizza's are insanely good (not cheap) - ground pepperoni vs sliced pepperoni is a radically better flavor. I can't stand sliced pepperoni, but love their ground pepperoni on the pizza's. You have to have their 'house' salad with the creamy garlic dressing. The good news is... More

Had a great dinner last tuesday evening as a group of eight got a corner table where were able to chat and enjoy a drink before ordering. The waitress was exceptional spiltting the bill 4 ways, bringing our order perfectly as we had salad for all then 4 pizzas all on one table. The owner visited with us making all... More

This place has been in business since the early 1950's, and you can see why after eating here. Only negative I can say is finding parking nearby is very hard. You have to try the house salad dressing. Unbelievably good!

Hear about this place and decided to try it out. Got my order to go so cannot comment on the restaurant itself other than it looks to be an "old school" type family Italian restaurant. I ordered a small pizza with ground pepperoni (yes- ground, not slices and this is what I can to try), ground sausage and anchovies. Also... More

... If my husband ever read this review. And, here's why. His family has been eating here for over 50 years. They get the exact same thing every single time. It's fine. The food is decent. But, if it wasn't for his family, I would not choose to eat here. The pizza is decent, but that could be because I... More

Thank you for recent visit to Domenico's. We appreciate your husband's family long time loyalty, I am sure they have made many memories at Domenico's. We are glad you tried the BBQ chicken pizza and enjoyed it. Some other crowd favorites (newer to our menu) are our Chicken basil cream pasta and our cranberry apple walnut salad. I recommend you... Dining at Domenico's is like stepping back in time for a Sunday family dinner with my parents and sister! Comfort food with capital letters! Prices are reasonable and the food is the best! Love the Lasagna and pizza....and the endless salad is fresh and the same as it was when I was a kid.
