This place is friendly and cozy. Often the owner greets you and takes your order. Almost all the food is made on-site so service isn't fast, but you don't really mind waiting when you are sitting with your friends sipping a nice draft Guinness Stout....The best time to come is for brunch because there is no wait for seating. The dog-friendly patio makes it perfect.More

A group of us went to the Red Leprechaun for their annual Christmas partying. After some initial confusion, we were seated and our orders for drinks and food were taken. Unfortunately, they were out of Guiness (an Irish Bar without Guiness!!!), but their other selections...were good. The band, The Wholigans were playing and they were really good.More

So sad that the ratings keep going the wrong way each time we visit. What I liked best previously was the friendly, cozy atmosphere with a great selection of beers on tap and tasty stuff on the menu. Not so much anymore. The beer selection...remains good and I love the chalkboard on the wall with all the choices. Too bad though they won' accommodate and offer a half pint of Guiness. Especially when the place is empty. The food, well not a hit today. The blue crab cake was a bit too mushy on the inside and really lacked flavour. Our waitress kindly offered to replace the dish which was appreciated. The inside out Sheppard's pie was bland, and as I've commented on previously, it is not a Sheppard's pie. Rather it is a bowl of ground beef with a dollop of mashed potatoes inside. The meat just lacked any flavour. So no a great night and were it our first time, it is highly unlikely we'd pay a return visit or recommend it.More

This is the only place I know where I stop being Greek and start being Irish as soon as I walk through the doors. The whole staff is friendly and very helpful in helping you decide what to order. They will even let you sample...some good Irish brew. It's always a pleasure to come here.More

Enjoyable meal with some good brewskies and some pretty good food. Nice selection of beer on tap. Really enjoyed the Karl Strauss Wreck Alley stout. mmm. Only 9.5% :-) The angry burger was wonderfully juicy, nicely cooked to order. Only problem is trying to figure...out how to eat it! Huge. Good fries. The rosemary chicken was okay. Nicely seasoned but some pieces were a bit dry. The mashed spuds were tasty, carrots outstanding but the zucchini was a bit bitter and mushy. Good service. Fun night. Good food.More

Recently I discovered this friendly and welcoming pub on a non -descript corner of Anaheim and Termino. What a nice surprise to find such a comfortable restaurant with reasonably priced good, basic food, delicious and inexpensive daily specials, a wonderful happy hour, a great selection...of beers. Service has always been super friendly and efficient.More

I love the Red Leprechaun. It is full of atmosphere and fun. The spirit and friendliness oozes out the door! Sadly tonight though that great spirit did not translate into performance. It took forever to get a waiter to come over and take my order....The fellow had a tremendous attitude but there were so many times I was left waiting, be it getting my initial order in, to follow up during the meal to getting my bill paid. I had the Shepard's Pie with a side salad. The salad was excellent. The pepper Ranch had a wonderful taste and kick to it, the greens were fresh and crunchy. A bit short on tomatoes and carrots but I definitely enjoyed it. The Shepard's Pie was disappointing. It was basically a dish if ground beef with a dollop of mashed on top. The beef was tender but not a lot of flavour. The taters were okay. I'm used to Shepard's Pie have a crust of mashed potatoes. Not what I got. I wanted a second beer, but by the time my waiter finally showed up it was time to leave. So friendly service and I really enjoyed the interactions, the effectiveness fell well short.More

Our beer came quickly, and the waiter even let me taste two beers to help me choose. Our beer was delicious. But we had to wait 30 minutes for our food. It was very good for all four of us. Then we ordered dessert, and...it took twenty minutes to arrive. The bread pudding was fabulous. Lucky for us we didn't have somewhere else to go afterward, as all food took way too long. Also we were hot, as our booth was under a hot side window (even with the blinds). Good waiter and food, but we were hot and bothered.More

Really like this hidden gem away from the water in long Beach. Cool decor greets you, then you get sucked in by the vibe. Adults, kids, boisterous conversation, lively good time. great local beer selection and good but typical Irish pub fare.
