It's a bit of a time warp when you walk in. Decorations and booths probably haven't been updated in 30 years. Most of the waitstaff has been around that long as well and they know their stuff. Food was good; I'm almost sorry I ordered a full meal because the homemade soup is so great that I would have made... More

This is a favorite stop. The freshest Mexican without pretense. Dark and seedy from the outside, but wonderfully cafe-ish inside. You can't go wrong. Tacos = great. Tamales = great. Enchiladas! = great. The meatball soup is fantastic anytime of year. The salsa is fresh and tangy. The beer selection is good. Remember no credit cards. Cheap eats that make... More

Love the ambiance...reminds me so much of the place we stayed at in puerto vallarta. Service was quick...(it was cinco de mayo) we were impressed at how quickly they got our food ready, so they were definitely well prepared for the crowd. Food was delicious...this place is a must go

If you are looking for good home cooking Mexican food with great service this is your place. Very plain and simple interior but the food was wonderful and the prices too! Guacamole was worth ordering two and will be going back again.

I was craving Mexican and my sister-in-law suggested Pancho's. It was a Saturday and they were busy so we had a little wait. The ambiance isn't impressive and it looks a little unkempt. The menu is extensive. The wait staff were harried and we only got one menu for the four of us. We started with one server and then... More

Totally unassuming, but my favorite Mexican spot in the LA/OC area. This is a throwback to the Mexican restaurants I ate at in So Cal when I was growing up. Fresh ingredients. Fluffy rice, excellent tortillas for the tacos and the soup is great. It's a cash only spot so be ready for that. A must stop for all my... More

This is the place I go to get my Mexican food fix. No frills, no fuss, but great old school goodness. I love their enchilada sauce.

This isn't one of those chain restaurants that serves presumed Tex-Mex assembled who knows where and then reheated with the microwave. I'm through with those. It's a family run restaurant for families, that just serves good food at great prices, in a low-key familiar atmosphere. And when you leave you don't feel like you ate a herd of dinosaurs. I... Pancho's has been an institution in Long Beach for ages. If you L-O-V-E Mexican food, then this is a must eat at spot. Fantastic Mexican food, fabulous service. Note: Cash only and closed Monday's!

Small place with not much parking and it's cash only, but the food is fantastic and the service is friendly! Definitely some place I'd go back to again.
