Amazing. Amazing. A local told me to go here instead of the Lighthouse and I am so happy I did. If you live Poke, order the tuna tartar.

Outstanding service, fabulous deviled egg appetizer…best ever grilled sea bass and excellent filet mignon…would definitely return to Nick’s
Wonderful tuna tartare and chips, we ordered a second plate. Then we had the fried asparagus WOW! Perfection for the palate!
Waited and waited and waited and waited and waited... Nick's on 2nd may well have great food, but that doesn't mean they know how to run a restaurant. Too many patrons loitering at tables long after having dined, and the staff at Nick's is clueless...about how to gracefully boot them out.More
Six of us dined here for lunch on a Friday without reservations. Restaurant was busy but we lucked out getting a table. Started off with spinach artichoke dip which was one of best I’ve had. Prime rib dip didnt disappoint as well. Everyone at table...enjoyed their lunch. Service was great. Would go back for sure.More
I vistited this restaurant today, It is a very busy and noisy bar/resturant. They quoted an hour wait but I was seated in about forty (40) minutes. I had the center cut filet which came with loaded potatoes, The food was delicious and despite the...wait, the service was outstanding, My server was Chase.More
You simply will love Nick's. I suggested reservation, but if you appear without one, the wait is not that long and there is a nice bar for you to sit at and have a drink and even an appetizer will you wait for your table....The service is fantastic and the servers I know the menu very well. They have a nice wine list and a full bar. They have these amazing deviled eggs and you should try some. I don't normally care for them, but these were great and now we get them every time we go. They also have some fantastic desserts so leave room for that. My favorite is there a filet mignon cooked rare with a side of mashed potatoes. You cannot go wrong if you like steak. It is simply the best. They also have a ribeye which is Heavenly. Have the best time.More
There is usually a wait, but it is almost always worth the wait. The food is good, and the service remains to notch.
Went to Nick's last night for my adult son's birthday. It's a great spot but forget it if you are vegetarian, my wife is but the other 4 of us are not. They refused to provide anything other than their veggie burger, soup or salad....We asked for a veggie plate and received the dumbest reasons why that was impossible, keeping in mind they had all the veggies in the kitchen. We eventually agreed on sides in separate plates. Now why can't a nice restaurant provide its customers with better than this. We enjoyed everything we had, spent just short of $400 with tip and they couldn't do a veggie plate. Pretty shameful and off our list as there are so many competitors that know the value of flexibility and quality service. Hope the feedback helps you, assuming you care, which is doubtful as vegetarians aren't new to you.More
I have been to both this location and Manhattan Beach. Nick's always has consistent food, but I guess I had forgotten how expensive it was. We had a party of 4 and our bill with tip was $360. We started out with a drink each...and the deviled eggs. These are deep fried; I wasn't a fan. Each couple then shared the farm salad which was really good. With our main course, we split a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc for the 4 of us. 2 of us had the seabass which was served with mashed potatoes. The seabass was cooked perfectly but both the seabass and potatoes could have used a little more flavor. My friend had the salmon which she really like and my husband had the fried chicken which he liked. Note- the chicken dish is massive. We opted not to have dessert. For Covid-19, all tables are outside and they have the protocol down. We felt safe. Service was good as usual.More
My friend and I had lunch and with it excellent service from a novice Desiree and her teacher Anthony. We ordered the Fried Asparagas. It wasn't as good as I remembered. It needed salt but I didn't ask for it. We also split the Veggie...Burger. The patty was mushy and I wouldn't order it again. The French Fries were fabulous tho.We shared a split of Grgich Hills Chardonnay and a glas of Rombie Chard as well. So splitting food and wine our bill was $90.00 which for this paticular meal was too much! I will go back and order differently.More
Used to love this place and showed up for a celebration for four close family, with great expectations. We reserved a socially distanced outside table and when we arrived it was jam packed and back to back people. Almost touching. Give me a break! How...terrible. Not even close to CDC recommendations. We walked out and got take out. I am really disappointed that they put profits over human safety. I understand that the restaurant business has been hammered, but this display of callousness is unforgivable. I spend a lot of money on restaurants, but no more at Nicks. Thanks for ruining my family dinner with your tone deaf disregard for other people’s lives.More
Excellent. Everything was perfectly cooked. Service was perfect and the drinks were excellent!! The sea bass was just perfect along with the spinach was just perfect.
Service, quality, dependable, timely, friendly, consistent. Usually a wait, so reservations suggested. More than a local’s spot.
For a great meal always created uniquely and with winning flavors this is the place to go... prime rib French dip or boneless fried chicken along with great drinks and house made salads make this location a win win.....
