As soon as you walk in, the staff is happy to greet you! They have a PHENOMONAL rotating brew selection. Every time I go they always have new seasonal brews and they always have the best burgers. Their busboys are amazing as well. As soon as a table is open, it's cleaned and cleared and ready to go immediately. A++... More

The atmosphere at this place is lively and fun. But the food is so-so at best. Been here about 4 times. For drinks is fine but food....not so hot.

Worst customer service ever. My friend arranged to have lunch here during her birthday winetasting trip with 24 people. When we got there for lunch they said, “sorry but our employee who said we can take you for lunch was wrong.” They left all 24 of us stranded with no lunch place and no resolution. Don’t go to this place... More

After seeing First Street was ranked #1 in Livermore, I was anticipating good, hand-crafted food and what I got was worse than your typical large National chain restaurant type meal. I can see going here for their great beer selection, but they have no concept of how to serve and prepare their food. I ordered Calamari Strips to "start" and... More

Top rated restaurant in Livermore. We had to try it. It's a fine pub. We didn't try the beer but the beer menu looked adequate. Beer clearly is a big part of the attraction. The place was full and it seats a large crowd. We didn't wait but I never noticed an empty table. The burgers were very good and... More

It's a great place to sit at the bar and watch sports with a big selection of beer. They have a local on tap Chardonnay that I had was buttery yummy. Very busy and lively fun. But come on leave your little kids at home. Didn't seem like a place for little one's.

We were in Livermore early for a Saturday day of Soccer tournaments with a group of kids, The Ale House was right downtown and open early. They were fine to accomodate our last minute larger group. They have a nice patio and big tables in the back too. Nice sunny tables in the front right on the street. Easy to... More

Friendly local gastro pub. Ok food, onion rings very good. Tri tip sandwich needs more meat for the price. Good beer selection. Service a plus

We visit only every couple of years, but the Ale house is our go to each time. Great beer. Great food. Very, very accommodating to different food allergies. Atmosphere is fun. We love this place.
