Having read all the rave reviews, I stopped in for a burger on my way up to Eureka. It was raining, so the outdoor patio wasn't of much use, and the outdoor walk-up counter wasn't open. So, no big deal, I ordered inside. FYI, rain-protected seating is limited to two 2-seat tables inside, and one on a porch outside. No... More

We had read online that the Peg House had some vegan items on their menu, so we decided to stop here for lunch after driving through the Avenue of the Giants. So glad we did! Looks like a little hole in the all in the middle of nowhere, but around back is a great outdoor cafe and patio. The staff... More

Stopped here for a late lunch with my 80 something parents the 1st day of our road trip. It was perfect. Ordered tri tip sandwich, BLT, hot dog....all excellent. Neat setting. Really felt like we were on vacation. So good, memorable!

I had read how wonderful this place was and not to be missed but honestly I was disappointed. The menu was very limited and they were out of several items on the menu. So we got the BarBQ Oysters - oysters on the half shell roasted on a grill with a very salty garlic sauce. They were good, but too... More

Ok, so where would Bigfoot go if he wanted a salmon burger or vegan Rueben ? The answer is the only restaurant around that serves such gourmet food. In the middle of nowhere but still near the the giant redwoods this cool little hippie place serves great food and it looks like they have bands of n the weekend. Two... More

Plenty of tables outside with shade and a huge industrial fan to keep things cool! Food was decent. Kids could relax and run around a bit. There is a stage for entertainment. Plenty of parking, easy access on/off Hwy 101. Good place to hang out and relax.

We had BBQ'd Oysters in garlic butter and it was Excellent!! We also ordered garlic bread (made a great poor boy) and macaroni salad (the best I ever tasted). The experience is picnic tables surrounded by sunflowers but it was great!
