This was a passing through Leggett to see the Chandelier (drive-through) Redwood tree. We thought we might have some lunch choices but Leggett is quite small and this was the only place around open. What a pleasant surprise. We all had cheeseburgers served with a delicious slaw which they only dress as they plate. (How clever so it's not soggy.... More

This place was suggested by one of the locals and did not disappoint! Great food, good atmosphere, clean bathrooms. Two of us has the Aloha Burger, one had the Mediterranean Chicken and one had a BLT-- everything was delicious! Lemonade was good too :)

I wrote a review on Peg House in 2013 and did enjoy our lunch there then. This time bringing son for the experience as we traveled up to Seattle again. I have to say that the quality went down slightly and the price went up in less than three years. They used sesame buns in 2013, and now using torta... More

We were told "don't miss the Peg House." and very glad we didn't! We were delighted to find the outdoor setting with lots of seating. They had veggie hotdogs and garden burgers, plus homemade potato salad and macaroni salad. I would put this on your list when driving through the redwoods.

$5 bag of ice which is $2 in town. Adding onto the rip off prices was the gloriously bad customer service. While they never said "f*&# off" they did everything but say it. They seemed so annoyed to be taking my money.

I think this is about the only place around to eat. Quaint little spot to have a bit of a poke around. The burgers were pretty good and fresh and tasted fine.

We sat outside on the picnic tables while musicians played on the stage. We ordered food at the food shack window and it came quickly. The homemade blackberry ice cream was wonderful. Can be very sunny so you need your sunscreen and glasses.

We stopped here for lunch, prompted by Tripadvisor reviews. We were not disappointed. It's an interesting place but the food is 1st class. Definitely worth a stop.

Its an experience if you arent from around there! Its a store that has very strange things and a restaurant with mainly outdoor eating. We both had burgers. They were definitely above average- not the best i ever had as promised though. The chocolate chip cookie may have been one of the best cookies i have ever tastes. This place... More

I had read about this funky restaurant in Sunset Magazine. This now gas station and general store was named Peg House because of the Danish construction techniques using pegs instead of nails to join the hand hewn beams. It is a landmark on 101. Inside the Peg House is a general store that is packed to the ceiling with chachkies... More
