Good environment, clean, friendly, healthy good food, I will visit there again. Large Mende selection, mostly Mexican based food with a coastal flare. Many fish dishes with fish served several different way.

My wife and I were in search for a lighter dinner- wanting fish. We each chose the California Bowl, mine with blackened Mahi, hers was grilled. It was fresh, flavorful and fairly priced (well there you go- an alliteration !) A traditional restaurant would have a price price in the neighborhood of $15 for this portion of Mahi; Rubio's price:... More

We came here on a recommendation from a friend. I got the rice bowl and wasn't really impressed with it but when I tried my mother-in-laws fish taco, I was impressed. I'm not a fish lover, but we went back the next day for more fish tacos. I think we looked for a Rubios in every area we visited during... More

We used Rubios for takeout for a team soccer party. The food was delicious (as always) and Mario, the manager, was very helpful with our order and ensuring that everything was ready and complete. Highly recommended.

The original fish tacos are wonderful! The shrimp are pretty amazing, too! Add some chips and the salsa bar, wash it down with a cold Corona, and you can't go wrong.

My wife and I tried to get into Chili's next door, found it overcrowded, but then decided to have a look in Rubio's. It wasn't very crowded, good décor, and decided to try their tacos. I admit we should have tried their signature fish tacos, but having been nearly poisoned by fish tacos in Chihuahua, we played it safe with... More

Good food, decent prices, friendly staff. We go on our lunch breaks at work because we know we will get out in time.

Clean and good food and service. Be prepared to deal with teen age help, however. Good kid's but you have to keep an eye on them. I ate there multiple times from Jan 2012 to august 2012 and always had good food.

Description
The first restaurant was opened in 1983 in San Diego by Ralph Rubio and his father, Ray, who started the fish taco phenomenon that spread across the nation. Today, Rubio’s menu has grown from The Original Fish Taco® to include additional chef-crafted seafood recipes that feature shrimp, wild salmon and ono. In addition to sustainable seafood, Rubio’s offers chargrilled chicken and steak, fresh made guacamole and salsas and sauces that are prepared daily.
