George's has authentic Greek cuisine. The people there are very friendly. They gave us a taste of their special New Zealand lamb chops. They were very delicious and seasoned with George's special spice mix. The Gyro platter we ordered was a very large portion of yellow rice, greek salad, thinly sliced gyro meat, yogurt sauce and pita triangles. Excellent food... More

Whether you go to the Long Beach or Lakewood restaurant/cafe you'll find attentive service and outstanding food. I had lost my taste for lamb after being served some very poor mutton like meat at another restaurant years ago. I was enticed into trying the lamb at George's Greek Cafe and I'm hooked again. It's my favorite dish, no matter how... More

I have to admit that Georges is my wife and I's go to place and go to several since we are in the middle of 4 Georges. We frequently come to this one at the Lakewood mall because of the happy hour. Great drinks, great appetizers and the service is always good. Yesterday we went for lunch and had to... More

There were seven of us and we tried lots of different things. We had most of their dips and the flaming cheese. Then we bought four of the dinners and upgraded to add lamb chops. OMG! Those lamb chops are fabulous. Everything that came on the dinner was fabulous. The Greek salad, the hummus, as well as the kebabs and... More

Great lunch specials available throughout the week. The Dolmathes are very good, and the Chicken Slouvakis are tasty as well. They have some good Greek wines available as well.

Let me state before I begin the review that I am Greek, so I know well how Greek food tastes like. We visited George's Greek Cafe on September, wanting our American family to taste some Greek food, since they haven't yet visited Greece. The menu has some Greek traditional dishes and recipes, such as "dolmathakia", "moussaka", "gemista", but there are... More

We were hoping to find something more for the money. I had the Gyro and it was just ok. It's a little pricey.

George's Greek Cafe welcomes you to "a little piece of Greece in Southern California." Our family-owned business is here to provide you with high quality food, craft cocktails, and an authentic Greek dining experience. Our restaurant has remained a favorite among the locals for one reason: we never compromise on our promise to provide fresh and delicious meals in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. We continue to follow Mama Rodou's recipes, which were passed down to her from her grandmother. We use only the finest imported ingredients, such as first cold pressed extra virgin olive oil from Greece and premium, hormone-free, grass-fed lamb from New Zealand. We want to extend an open invitation to you to dine at one of our restaurants. Whether you're looking to impress a date with an intimate wine tasting, reconnecting with family over Saganaki Flaming Cheese and lamb chops, or planning the perfect wedding reception for 500 of your closest friends, we are here for you. Come in, and feel like part of the family. OPA!
