Lovely welcome as we entered from a waitress. Doesn't look much from outside, inside is an old fashioned, a little tired in places, but cute interior with booths.
We were making a short roadside stop for lunch on our travels through Lake Isabella - was ideal for us.
Good menu range, we ate toasted tuna melt, lovely coleslaw & polish sausage with fries. Cutlery, glasses, tables, seats, plates clean. Floors & restrooms could do with a good scrub up.
Our Waitress was delightful & as 'foreigners' we were asked to sign the little guest book.
Just as expected a good, well run, value for money, efficient roadside diner.
Would we eat again ? Answer: Yes

Great food, great service. Leanne, our sever, gave exceptional service. We were traveling through. She gave us some good tips and places to visit. The chili verde omelette and strawberry waffles were delicious!

We sat outside due to covid restrictions. The service is good and food very good for breakfast. Be sure to get the O'Brien potatoes and ask for salsa. Huge patties of sausage and super omlettes.

Poor service, order was incorrect, couldn't or wouldn't make change for $100. bill when check price was around $60.00. Wanted me to go across the street to get change and I am disabled.

Great breakfast. Love this diner. Nelda’s is fast and friendly food. Good menu choices and the food is great! Our waitress greeted us quickly and the food came out fast. I will go back when I’m in the area.

food was ok, chocolate shake was really good, but the place was not clean. When my husband notices...it's really not clean! Cutlery, table and especially floor. I felt I had to write a review because a previous review specifically mentioned that it was very clean and that was a big factor in our decision to go.

Ok...get over there just to see the list of shakes! Party of six, six different shakes, all shared, all left happy!! Exactly what an old school shake at an old school diner should be!!

I had a large scrumptious bowl of oatmeal and my husband had the egg dish-eggs over easy, hash browns, bacon with biscuits and gravy. With tax and tip it came to $16.00
Our waitress was cute and friendly. I would tell everyone to stop in at Nelda’s ...... they also have about 100 different milkshakes 😁

We recently stopped by Nelda's in Lake Isabella for breakfast during a drive between Death Valley and Sequoia NPs. This is a local diner located on Lake Isabella Blvd. Opening hours are 7am to 8pm daily.
This is an American style dinner with bar stool seating as well as a large section of booths. Menu is an expected range of breakfast, burgers and other food and drink items. Menu prices are affordable and orders were served in good time.
We had the biscuits with sausage gravy with a side of bacon, burger with fries and a shake. Everything tasted pretty good - what you'd expect of a small town diner.
In the end, we were happy with our late morning stop and meal at Nelda's. We'd stop here for another meal if passing through Lake Isabella again in the future.

I've had lunch here twice in the last month, and both times were great. This last visit I got a half sandwich and salad combo lunch. The blt was almost the size of a regular sandwich! Service was friendly and I will return in the future
