This spot was a haven of community hidden in an ordinary strip mall We always look for an independent coffee shop where ever we are in the world and this little place was just what we love to find The coffee was excellent the service...was personal and genuinely friendly They made their own syrups which was an nice alternative to the sickly sweet commercial syrups They had a good variety of food options both sweet and savory The staff took the time to hear our coffee shop stories from around the world and we never felt rushed When we met the owner on our second visit she shared her vision of creating a space that nurtured community and she has definitely succeeded even in the era of Covid19 ! In my quest for cafes for studying and reading, this is my third stop. It is a bit far away if you live in Irvine, CA but if I were closer to Lake Forest or if I lived here, I guess, this cafe would be...one of my frequent visits. I bring my computer and work here about once every two weeks or so. The people, customers and staff, are very friendly. It is a welcoming place for solos, families, and also small groups such as writing groups or Bible studies. Good coffee also.
Best macchiato I've experienced. Patch serves coffee brewed from the flavorful Counter Culture beans, which are not commonly sourced by OC coffee houses.
