We went for dinner our first night in Laguna based on the reviews we reviewed. The atmosphere was energizing and the service was attentive. We ordered a draft beer and michelada with a Corona. For dinner, we ordered the beef fajitas and fish tacos. They were both very tasty and prepared perfectly. I hope to come back soon!

Yes, chips and salsa are a good indiction that the restaurant cares about even the smallest details. We enjoyed margarita's on the rocks and a real Coke from Mexico. The three of us enjoyed a the special: steak, chicken, rice, beans on a small grill at our table. We all enjoyed the atmosphere and friendly service staff - It's a... More

Went here for a date night with my husband for our anniversary. The food was delicious! They were very busy and it is understandable as to why. Most of the staff seemed so lively and polite, but our waiter was a bit stiff. That was easily forgettable though as the food was so good. It is a bit pricey for... More

Ate here on a Wednesday night - the place was definitely crowded - a good sign. I got the carnitas and they were in a word, EXQUISITE. Best I've had, hands down. Just do yourself a favor and eat here.

We had a large group of nine hungry people and picked Carmelita's mostly because it was where we were walking by. What a fortunate, random selection. Everything about this place was first rate. The service was excellent. The ambiance was just right and the food was to die for. Between us we ordered a pretty wide selection from the menu... More

Both food and drinks are excellent. Spinach enchiladas are fantastic. The guacamole is not to be missed!

Carmelita's deserves the acclaim it's getting. Great menu, beautiful spot across from Main Beach, excellent service. We had no reservation so we ate at the bar, bartender was amazing. Great drink list, very limited wine list, but they have Justin Cab from Paso Robles. We ate the best wet Burrito ever & a Cuban dish of shredded pork & pineapple.... More

Went there for dinner with 3 friends from out of town. The food as not good at all. How can a Mexican food place screw up enchiladas?! I dunno, but they did. I couldn't even eat it it tasted so bad... We were all hungry, but none of us finished our food. The chips and dean did were good ...... More

Just for the bean dip I would give this restaurant an A+! When you are seated, the warm bean dip arrives with a basket of chips...the best! My favorite dish is the wild salmon salad. The fish is cooked to perfection and the salad has a light but very flavorful dressing. Great margs too!!
