Cafe Zoolu was an amazing family owned restaurant. The food was homemade and the portions were huge. they made many people happy throughout the years. They had to say goodbye last month and a cajun restaurant is to open in its place...Can't wait....thnak you Cafe Zoolu for many many memorable evenings......

Cafe Zoolu closed its doors and disappeared with the setting of the sun the end of June. Goodbye and Good Retirement, we will miss you.

This is a very unassuming hole in the wall type of place, but the food is just better than wonderful. The staff is laid back and very personable. Their specialty is the seared tuna, and the "Baseball cut" is the thing to get, really great flavor and done to perfection. We have friends from LA who visit and that's the... More

We've been coming to Cafe Zoolu for over 15 years. It is seriously my favorite restaurant. In Laguna Beach, some of the restaurants can be pretentious. Cafe Zoolu has great food, a relaxed, beachy vibe, and great service. My husband gets the Cowboy steak and says it is one of the best he's ever had. I love that they have... More

All good things must come to an end, I guess, but Cafe Zoolu was never just a "good" restaurant, it was a GREAT restaurant, and indeed my favorite in Laguna Beach for the last 20 years. Located just blocks from my home, we often walked to Zoolu for an appetizers-only dinner, and have plenty left over for another full meal.... More

This place doesn't offer much of an ambiance, but it serves up the best swordfish 've ee had. Most of the fish is very good, but the swordfish can't be beat. It's served three different ways, or y can get the combo and try althree

Been coming here for over 15 years. Food is always great. Had the Alaskan halibut, very tasty , big portions and excellent service. Make reservations or it will be hard to get in. It is a small converted house.

Reportedly, due to close on May 29, 2016. A favorite of our friends that live in the area. One of two restaurants that are on repeat when we visit.

Being a local we have a fantastic selection of restaurants ! This place is simply the best we have to offer , no ocean views , no luxury seating , but the best food you'll eat in Laguna for sure.

I think they have closed and what a shame. Fantastic grilled meals. Best try calling first. If open, make a reservation.
