The setting is nice but the food is just average. I am from Eastern Europe so know how Mediterranean food should taste. It's not the worst I've had but always like to hold these establishments to a higher standard to elevate public's taste and expectations.
My husband, four children, and I were very excited to try out GG's since it got so many positive reviews. The atmosphere (we were outside) was beautiful with all the twinkling lights. As we were looking at the menu, I noticed in small letters at the bottom -- they were going to charge an extra 20% tax for parties of... More
Wonderful location on the PCH. Excellent Greek/Turkish/Italian menu, but you should stick to the Greek/Turkish side of the menu. This is authentic. Hummus and falafel was excellent. The squid was a single, large steak - simple and tasty. Avocado/shrimp starter was solid. Shish kabab chicken was soft. Portions were very large, do not over order! Overall, great meal.
This is a great place to get a refreshing, fresh meal in Laguna Beach. We sat outside on the patio as the sun set, a gentle breeze blew and soft music played. Our food was fresh and delicious. Service was great. So many of the places in Laguna are too crowed, too noisy and too expensive. What a great place... More
We decided to try GG's Bistro after a day at the beach. We are happy to say it was a great decision. The food was delicious and fresh. The service was outstanding. It was nice to have water at the table to fill our own glasses when we were ready as well. The Gyro was outstanding and tasty as was... More

I had the chicken panini and the chicken was moist and super flavorful and probably one of the best I've eaten and I am very picky. The foccacia bread was just right and fries and salad were also... Small Mediterranean restaurant with very accommodating staff. My wife's salad had too much dressing on it and they brought her a new one without question. My swordfish kebabs were wonderful - well marinated and cooked great.
Coming from Detroit, where outstanding Middle Eastern food is everywhere, this place is average. Passionate and knowledgeable service gently pushes the middle eastern side of the Italian split menu. It's a good safe alternative for something different in the area and they have some nice Happy Hour deals on drinks which I felt were made with a 'good pour' for... More
