Practically every one of our family celebrations occurs at Blue Ginko. Always fresh, beautiful presentation, most flavorable salmon sashimi!..

This small sweet restaurant has something for everyone. We first went for dinner with a 15, 16, and 27 year old then returned with a 58 year old for lunch. The lunch menu is about the same as the dinner menu...but cheaper! Fresh and a welcome taste if you are craving asian food. We went on a Saturday night, it... More

Having survived in Lafayette for years is testimony enough. Open for lunch and dinner (but not in between), Blue Ginko is a place that locals tend to keep secret. We get there early, just after 5pm and set at the sushi bar (about eight seats). There are tables also and servers. The menu is extensive, all fresh, and besides the... More

This was my first visit, but my cousin's eat here often, this evening it was not very crowded walked in an there was seating. they have many item's to pick from a lot of sushi choices and many dinner choice's, I'm not a big fan of sushi, I did have Avocado roll wrapped with soy wrap instead of seaweed, no... My husband and I don't eat sushi, but we come here for the other offerings that are excellent. They have shrimp and vegetable tempura that's very, very good -- lightly breaded, not greasy and I love their miso soup. I often have the grilled shrimp and scallops -- extremely fresh seafood, perfectly prepared, and served with a lovely flavored rice,... More

Located next to Whole Foods in a shopping center, Blue Gingko is a small Japanese restaurant featuring innovative, fresh sushi. Went for lunch and asked the waitress to select three sushi rolls (about $16 each) for our party of two. She told us the ingredients-scallops, shrimp, avocado, salmon, roe, etc. We gave her the “okay” and we loved every bite.... More

I think they have the best sushi and sake, but the place is tiny and crowded and no matter if it's busy or not they have the worst service in town. With a line of people waiting for tables I spent 20 minutes trying to get a check. They have about 8-9 tables inside and the sushi bar seats about... More

Blue Gingko has very fresh fish and the preparations are inventive and authentic. There are generally some great specials but also the traditional stuff is there as well. Try the Mita Roll, the Volcano Roll in particular. We also love the Tuna Poke and their fresh Hamachi. There is some outside seating to supplement a fairly small dining room inside.... More

the lineup out the door around mealtimes tells the story. the food here is fresh and tasty, appealing to both the eye and stomach - promptly served with the sort of attentive service you'd like all restaurants to have. it does get crowded at peak times.

My boss took us there for lunch. Once again I ordered the sushi lunch special. The chef did a wonder job on my lunch. For sure I would go there when I think of Japanese food.
