Wow very disappointing... The usual number (too many) of self absorbed customers who either ignore their screeching kids or who sit at their table zoned out on their iPhones at the highest volume without headphones, making the ambiance in the restaurant hideous. Maybe can't blame the management for that.. And the food is decent, we've had worse. What we couldn't... More

Artisan Bistro is a small place, but has really good food. The Yellow Corn soup is absolutely delicious and one of my favorites. The service is always great. My friends and I went for a birthday lunch and the menu for that day even had her name printed on it - nice touch. On a nice day, the patio is... More

A small but wonderful restaurant on a quiet side-street. Creative menu and a very nice (small) wine list. The food is not exotic but well prepared and tasty. A very nice patio that is quiet and a nice place to sit for a long time and talk. The wait staff was very perceptive and only as attentive as we wanted.... More

Artisan is one of our favorite restaurants, and once again it did not fail to provide a great dining experience. This visit was for Father’s day brunch. The entrees, including Dungeness Crab benedicts and the veggie scramble were flavorful and delicious. The server, Rebecca, was efficient, friendly, and accommodating. Food was a little slow coming out of the kitchen, but... More

Cute little restaurant with good food and service. Sitting on the patio on a warm night is very nice too. Have been here for lunch and dinner and both are great.

On Sunday's & sometimes on Wednesdays Artisan has a three course dinner with wine pairings. You can also choose this dinner without wine for $10 less. Both times I went I chose the New York steak with wine pairings dinner. The dinner & wine were wonderful. The New York steak was the best I've ever had.

Always something new and unique. Upscale California cuisine in a great little house & courtyard. Fresh ingredients prepared perfectly. It is pricey but well worth it. They have always graciously accommodated any variations to a dish I have requested. I have not been to one of their wine pairings, but 2 neighbors are regulars at those and say they should... More

I have been to Artisan Bistro a number of times and have always loved my meals. Fresh ingredients that are creatively prepared resulting in delicious food. If this restaurant was on the west side of the Oakland hills it would be a top 100 pick. I highly recommend this restaurant for special occasions.

We visit the East Bay every year and wouldn't miss our visit to Artisan. We went for lunch (lunch menu, 3 courses, $30) and frankly I could have eaten everything and had difficulty choosing. We sat outside where the ambience is just lovely, servers were helpful and knowledgeable and not OTT. Food was fantastic. A definite must.

This getting to be a tradition — birthdays and anniversaries at Artisan Bistro. A special place for special events with incredible food and service. This visit we introduced our friends to Artisan, and since both Lili and Marilyn have birthdays a day apart in April, we made it an early celebration do to busy schedules. The owners are completing a... More
