We were spending our anniversary in the area and decided to try this restaurant after seeing the reviews. The restaurant did not disappoint! (It was bit pricier than expected but we really enjoyed our meals.) First, the patio was really well done. The patio is so well enclosed we forgot it is part of a strip mall parking lot. IMHO They have really done a great job creating a small cafe atmosphere. We went went with cocktails over wine and I thought they nailed the Vesper Martini ($15) and my wife loved her drink - La Vil En Rose ($14). The food was great. The entrees the trout special ($34) and Salmon ($36) were cooked perfectly. We split the Lyonnaise salad and it was the real star with perfectly poached eggs on both halves. Very nice! Gina was our server and she was a bit slammed at first but was so personable and patient - you could her interact with all of her customers in the same patient fashion. Overall, the staff did such a great job making sure our water glasses were full. (It was very a very hot evening.).

From the moment we arrived to Kassidy’s warm greeting, we knew we were in for a great experience! The food, wine, and service were all first class. Our server Geoff was attentive and knew the menu well, recommending the escargot and paella appetizers and a rare Chenin Blanc to compliment these starters. Pedro was right there also the entire evening, making sure to take care of our every need. Geoff recommended the lamb as a main dish for husband and filet + shrimp for me. Both dishes were generous portions and cooked to perfection. They were complimented by a hearty Cabernet recommended by the lead chef and owner Emmanuel who paid a personal visit to our table—nice touch! We finished with a dessert trio of sweets, and left completely satisfied and thoroughly impressed by the outstanding experience from start to finish. This was definitely one of the the best meals we have enjoyed in our many trips to Palm Desert and we can’t wait to return on our next visit.

The food, service and ambiance are outstanding. This restaurant always exceeds expectations. There are a few menu selections avilable here that are difficult to find elsewhere. One of my favorites is the rainbow trout which is filleted and cooked to perfection. Service is always friendly and attentive. Owner/chef Emanuel Jardine makes frequent rounds of the tables...nice touch!

La Brasserie has been a favorite of my wife and mine since they took over the site from the previous “surf” restaurant in the same location. We typically dined there perhaps once a week and it was great until dinner last evening. My wife was enjoying her Weiner Schnitzel, always a good choice at La Brasserie, and I tried the Lake Superior white fish. Okay, but next time I’ll order it sautéed plain, without the fancy sauce. Anyway to continue the story, we were sitting at the bar and chatting with the bartender. The bartender’s station was right next to my stool and he was preparing a fancy cocktail of some sort, with some of this and some of that. Multi-colored, multi flavors—you can see the picture. The restaurant owner/chef walked by, glanced at the bartender, and stopped walking. He began berating the bartender about how he is was not preparing the cocktail correctly. This public and aggressive dressing down, in front of those of us sitting at the bar, was truly shocking. My wife was in tears just witnessing it. After several minutes, I turned to the owner/chef and as a customer, objected to what was going on. He told me that he would manage his restaurant as he saw fit. Okay. We’ve lost one restaurant on our desert favorites list. Sad and unnecessary.

I am sorry you feel this way and I appreciate your comment. But as the owner it is my responsibility to make sure that all my customers receive well prepared food and drinks served in a timely manner. The cocktail was not prepared with the correct ingredients and needed to be fixed right away so the customer waiting for the drink is served quickly. Mistakes can happen, but they need to be fixed. I appreciate your patronage for years and you have enjoyed La Brasserie because food and beverages are prepared correctly and in a timely manner. I take it very seriously that customers are spending their hard earned money at La Brasserie and deserve to be served well prepared food and drinks always.

My husband and I were celebrating love last Saturday and we had a wonderful experience from the second we walked in. We were warmly welcomed and offered a drink right away to wait 5 minutes for a table. We shared a few delicious appetizers before our New York steak cooked to perfection and with my favorite truffle French fries. The ambiance in the heated patio and the service were excellent! We definitely recommend this family owned restaurant and their very professional team for their authentic home made French cuisine. We can’t wait to go back! Thank you!

My family truly enjoyed the Saturday night special. The steak was perfectly prepared and the French onion soup is the best I’ve ever had. The food here is so fresh and well prepared that’s it’s better than home cooking.

This is a mixed review. The restaurant was lovely, the food was delicious, but the service was not good. We are four "mature"😉 friends celebrating our birthdays. Issues...I ordered an amarreto on ice, my drink arrived and I mentioned to the server that there was more than amarreto in the glass (it tasted like an amaretto sour including carbonation). He said "You ordered amaretto on ice and that's what you got." We had arrived at 6 pm and ordere our meal at the same time we ardered our drinks. I had received and finished my soup and had not seen our server in over 15 minutes and it was now 7:20. Since our server was no where to be seen, one of us sought out the manager to share that we would like to know when we would recieve our order. The server came to the table with no apologies but pointed at me and said that he was waiting for me to finish my soup before submitting our order. I worked in food service for eight years and all of the managers I worked with always wanted to have the customer leave satisfied and heard. The manager apologized by saying that kitchen was backed up, I suggested that if the server had come and said that he was sorry the kitchen was backed up, even that would have made the wait more palatable but to not even see the server for over 30 minutes and to be told it was my fault for ordering soup was not acceptable.

Me? LAte 70' married 52 years and traveled to 40 countries. Parents owned a restaurant and I was a cook as a college student. Worked as a server until career as a lawyer. I know food and do not like super fancy food or overpriced food or bad service. This is a chef-owned and run wonderful mid-priced restaurant with both French and continental food. There is a meal for anyone and no French language skills are required. Just a love of good food, service and ambiance. The outdoor garden for dining has always been there and is not just erected for COVID. It is lovely with high walls and privacy. Staff has been there for many years. I love Osso Bucco, Veal Milanese, all seafood dishes, French onion soup with cheese and the French fries with truffle oil is amazing. Help keep this locally owned and operated place going. It is the gem of our city. I know for and you will appreciate this establishment with ample parking and wheelchair access. Dogs permitted on the patio (if they behave). My wife and I dine here 40 times a year and never tire of the food nor the great staff.

This place is excellent from the quality of food to the wait staff. We ate outside on the patio which was beautiful and had a great ambiance. We ordered the beet salad, autumn salad, grilled octopus and pork belly. This was the best beet salad I’ve ever had. The octopus was so good we ordered a second serving. We had the pear tart and raspberry sorbet for dessert which were both delicious. Our server was attentive and had excellent knowledge of the food and wine menus. I would have expected to pay far more than our total bill considering the quality of food and service. I highly recommend this place.

Usually not a fan of a strip mall type restaurant, but once inside this cute bistro, you hardly notice you are on the street. The outdoor patio is great, with its fountains, and plenty of heaters to keep you comfortable. The wait staff was top notch, they certainly do not rush you. We were a group of 8, and everyone loved their dinner. My steak was cooked perfectly and their fries are to die for!!!! Will definitely be back.

Our waiter, Robert, guided us through a very enjoyable happy hour visit. We sampled two appetizers, I enjoyed the crispy calamari and my bride had the butternut squash ravioli, both were excellent. Our second courses were cassoulet with duck sausage, good but no as good as that at Chez Pierre’s, my bride had the puff pastry seafood pot pie which was very tasty. No wine specials for happy hour. A nice variety to choose from and we were satisfied with the overall experience. Good service.

We had a wonderful dinner last night. A beautiful patio setting (you'd never know it was in a strip mall), professional, delightful service and best of all, delicious and memorable food. The owner/chef is always a good sign of hands-on commitment. Very skillful preparations and presentations. We will be back. 😋

Went on a Sunday night. Had to wait a bit for our table. Busy bc bottles of wine are 1/2 price and happy hour in place all evening. Had vichyssoise and caesar salad to start. Soup was outstanding. Then lamb chops with sides of spinach and green beans. Chops were perfectly cooked and veggies excellent. Wanted to have profiteroles but no room. Had a nice Sancerre. Our server Geoff was competent and warm.Highly recommend.

We went here on a Sunday night - served by Gina. On outside patio. With respect to food, beverage, service, and ambiance we would rate this as the finest dining experience we have had in years in the Coachella Valley. Everything we ordered - salads, deviled eggs, Oysters Rockefeller, lamb chops and shrimp/scallop combo was wonderful. The half price wine on Sundays was a welcome addition. We highly recommend the Brasserie for dinner in La Quinta.

We went at the beginning of our stay and loved it so much, we went back again for our last night. The service is fantastic, the ambience very cozy, the food is incredible and presentations look like art work. i heartily recommend the beet and humboldt fog appetizer. The staff are very accommodating. I do not care for olives, so they prepared the salmon without the tapenade coating and it was cooked to perfection. We have been coming to Palm Desert/La Quinta area for almost 20 years and somehow never found La Brasserie until this year. My husband and I really enjoyed our two evenings here and will definitely return on our next trip.
