The bar is always busy! And the reason is good menu selections and good prices for happy hour or not. Service is attentive and friendly. Casual atmosphere. There is also a "lounge" area as you enter that is comfy with sofas, fireplace and table seating as well. There is also outside patio seating next to the bar with the sounds... More

love this place, interesting as it is built into a mountain. Take the stairs to the top of the restaurant along side a steam of water coming from the top of the mountain. Sit outside if it is not to hot. Great appetizers and steaks are wonderful. Service has always been great. Inside decorations are upbeat and the bar is... More

Recently spent a week in the desert area and chose to have dinner at the Clifhouse. Was given the best table in the dining room, and elevated round booth that overlooked the entire room with great views of outdoors. Staff was extremely accommodating , polite and professional. Rebecca was our server and assisted by a manager I believe, who kept... More

Great Happy Hour hot spot. First time diner and it was worth it. You will be very satisfied with just drinks and appetizers, which I may do next trip out to LQ. I had oysters on the half to start, with the sugar spiced salmon for dinner and it was perfect!

I do not know why this place is so popular; you definitely need reservations even for happy hour and especially for earlier dining as it attracts a crowd to its 5 - 6 pm prix fixe dinner. I found the food to be average and I sent back the oysters; they were not fresh and did not taste good. I... More

sorry to hear you did not enjoy your meal with us. Oysters are fresh as we get deliveries 3-4 times per week even in our slower summer months. during season we have 6 day delivery. you picked our only vegetarian entree. it is not a dish that you would find in most Asian restaurants as we use a very light... It is pert near impossible to get a filet mignon properly cooked medium in the Coachella Valley. Most places just quick sear the outside and leave the other 90% raw and bloody. Not Cliff House!! Added in a couple La Quinta Brewery Poolside Blonde draughts and this was one of the most satisfying meals I've experienced. The Pork Tenderloin, Blackened... More

Really good bar with a friendly, welcoming vibe. Menu is not overly long but plenty of choices and everything we had tasty really good and fresh. Staff are very pleasant and attentive. No real complaints but bar can get really busy so there's every chance you'll have to be very early, very lucky or a bit patient. Well worth a... More

The Cliffhouse is a pleasant venue with a very nice selection of food and drink. I met a small group of friends on a Thursday for Happy Hour. I had a Cadillac Margarita, which was $2 off, and really tasty. Since I had been here before, I knew the salmon salad is a good choice. When the salad arrived, there... More

Have to be honest. I have been to the Cliffhouse for Happy Hour more times than I can count. (Lol) One of my favorite HH. They have a great menu for HH. From lite bites to entrées. They definitely have something for everyone. If you are a vodka drinker as I am be prepared. They have about 125 different vodkas... More
