the best place to dine in La Quinta. trust me....

Historic and beautiful setting, exciting vibe, superb service and jaw-dropping cuisine. Chef is 3x James Beard award winner. It seldom gets better than this. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Seemed very expensive but the flatbread was tasty. The whole Waldorf scene seems overrated at this OLD resort.

We were really looking forward to a first rate culinary experience. The food was excellent but our dining experience left a lot of room for improvement. To begin with, we were seated by the door to the patio. The noise from the door banging and the draft were enough for us to be asked to be moved to another table.... More

My wife and I ate at Morgan's in the Desert, located at the La Quinta Resort, last night and we had a wonderful evening. We were celebrating my birthday and I wanted something different than the ordinary restaurant menu. Jimmy Schmidt's Morgan's was the perfect choice since they have Small Plates, Fresh Seafood and Steaks, and Chef Creations. Brian Recor... More

As befitting a resort built in 1926, Morgan's - like La Quinta resort itself - has something of a bygone elegance about it, with hushed lighting, a large fireplace at the back and a bevy of talented but unobtrusive servers. A low-level of background jazz is a perfect accompaniment. It's refined dining that not many restaurants offer. All of this... More

This was our first time at Morgan's. While the menu is limited, all the dishes we ordered were excellent. The wait staff were knowledgeable and very attentive. An extra plus for this Saturday meal was the live entertainment of Ron Pass. Playing and singing a variety of music, Ron Pass, made the evening even more enjoyable. I would go back... More

This is a very thoughtful menu. You will find something that appeals to your culinary senses. In fact there were so many I let the server surprise me. I was absolutely not dissapointed. Top notch service. Found the tables to be a little close together but no fault in the food.

We go here once a visit and always have a wonderful meal. You do need to make reservations in advance as it is always crowded. They have a beautiful outdoor space as well with fire pits and outdoor lighting. $$$ but well worth it.

We celebrated Thanksgiving at La Quinta for the first time this year; and we decided to have Thanksgiving dinner at Morgans. We had three generations of family present; and we wanted it to be a big event -- and we were not disappointed. The food was outstanding (both the traditional fare and the less standard choices); and the atmosphere was... More
