SCHWARMA! They got beef schwarma, chicken schwarma, gyros, kabobs, seafood, and all sorts of wonderful Mediterranean dishes at very affordable prices, most plates cost $11-14. These plates come with a side salad, pita, yellow rice, and the creamiest hummus in San Diego. There's also a...variety of tasty meat pies available for $2. 12 inch pizzas are only $7 with two toppings, pretty average, but unique and interesting when you add a meat schwarma as a topping. The Harisa cakes are heavenly moist in a sweet rose water...try a piece for $2, once you're hooked you'll want to buy by the pound for $8 which gets you 10-12 pieces...an amazing deal!More

The food is as authentic Middle Eastern food as can be. The flavors were amazing and everything comes out piping hot (just like I like my food to be) the side salad was extra fresh. Been there many times. Never disappointed.

After driving past this little gem so many times, I finally made time to stop. The gyros here is the best I've had in ages. Orders are taken at the counter, and guests are called when their orders are ready. The service was friendly and...helpful. It would merit a 5 if they delivered food to the tables. Dining area is very casual, and immaculate. I regret waiting so long to try Mystic Grill!More

Delicious food! The large pictures for the uninitiated are a big help while choosing what to order. The portions are huge and the prices are small for what you get. I could barely finish my gyro sandwich, which was the best I've ever had and...less than $6!More

Its not exactly where you'd take someone to on a first or second date... Its not exactly where you're gonna celebrate your anniversary with that special someone... Its not exactly in one of San Diego's nicer neighborhoods... But its exactly where you'll find the BEST...chicken shawarma in San Diego...and for only $10 or less! I'm not sure what exactly they do...but this chicken must be marinated and spiced for a good while before being thrown on one of those spinning machines...the end result is fantastic! Lots of women wearing hajabs come here, so its definitely legit right? They've also got other good stuff too like chicken kafta and beef shawarma, meat pies, and the desserts are fantastic, especially the Harisa. But if its your first time...definitely get that chicken shawarma!More

Great big pictures on the wall makes ordering super easy. The food is good and fresh, and very reasonably prices for the portion (big). The seating area is also nice, with arabic music playing in the back ground (TV's). They also have sweets (baklava variety)....All the salads are amazing, even the fish (salmon or catfish) is deliciously well cooked. The wraps are categorized as appetizers, but are actually more than enough as an entree. I come here on a regular base for lunch.More

Mystic Grill is attached to the adjacent Vine Ripe food market, and has a walk-up counter for orders, with the menu displayed on large signs on the walls. There is a variety of appetizers, dinner salads, fish/seafood plates, and chicken and meat dishes. Desserts, including...baklava, are also available. On our most recent visit, we had dinner salads (one feta cheese, one grilled salmon salad), and a falafel appetizer. The salads were serviceable (iceberg lettuce, decent toppings). The best feature was the grilled salmon. Unlike some reviewers, we found the service quite pleasant. This isn't a place you'd go out of your way to visit, but it would be fine for a quick meal, especially if you're shopping at the attached market.More
