The food here is outstanding. I especially like to order from the appetizers, hot as well as cold, to get a variety. My favorites are "fool madamas" (fava beans done to perfection) and any of his dishes featuring eggplant. The atmosphere is informal and friendly and there is an outside seating area where one can smoke a hookah, if they... More

I went here with my Aunts and we got 5 different appetizers. The meat eggplant was delicious as was the Fool (Fava bean dish). Their baba ganough was good too. The food that made everything come together was their homemade bread. We ate it until we were so stuffed and loved it. Out waitress, Vienna, was very helpful in choosing... More

We live nearby and my family keeps going back. The bread is terrific, the humus is very flavorful as are the stuffed grapes. I am not vegetarian, but I love the vegetarian plate, just a huge serving of such a variety of foods that is a lot of fun to eat.

This restaurant is worth seeking out. My theater group met here for a pre-theater dinner and were awed by the quality of the dishes. The restaurant advertises its menu as Arabic with a “Palestinian accent.” We all highly recommend the kabob plates—chicken. lamb, and kifta (spicy ground meat). We all loved the green beans sauteed in olive oil and onions.... More

Great neighborhood Mediterranean restaurant. When dining in, the staff is normally on top of things, friendly and courteous. I enjoy that they have theme nights - comedy and jazz stand out and really adds value to La Mesa. Food wise, portions are big, everything seems fresh and prepared to order.

We went to Haritna's for lunch and I admit I was a little nervous as there was no one in sight and we had never been there. We were unfamiliar with the menu. The waitress was very helpful and explained everything to us and made helpful suggestions. We shared a few appitieser dishes. We all learned quite a bit and... More

If you like genuinely personal service, excellent food freshly prepared, and a homey atmosphere, this is a "don't miss" restaurant. On the corner of El Cajon Blvd and 73rd, it's easy to not notice. We went there on a recommendation, and made a special effort to go back to El Cajon so we could eat there again. The food is... More

We had lunch here. I had an excellent falafel sandwich (the pita was especially excellent. The real star of the was the side ofbaba ganoush -- probably the best ever. This version had been chopped and mashed, but not run through a blender, so isome txture to it, which made a big difference. Really excellent service, too.

I try to hit Haritna anytime I'm the area. This time I had a 3 day business trip from Lemon Grove all the way up to Escondido and I managed to eat there all three days! Day 1 (Wed): I showed up at 9PM when I was arriving into town and I had a delicious Beef shawerma sandwich and a... More

lets start by saying that I have never ordered off the menu here. For whatever reason we always seem to be in this area on a sunday and on sunday (friday's too) they have a little buffet and its great. The buffet is around $10 and there is a nice selection of food and bread. They have a small patio... More
