One of the most notable things about this place is the service. Very friendly, helpful, down to earth people work here. The food is all super fresh and tasty. The fish tacos and Ahi bowl were excellent. Nice portions, and very flavorful. The atmosphere is...More

Stopped in for my first visit to Duke’s after a long day of travel. The calamari and the view were both sensational. Service was friendly but just ok.

Great choices of food. Nice atmosphere. Even if you’re not right on the water you can still have a good view. Prices are reasonable. Staff was great.

We went to Duke’s to try it during restaurant week. We ordered the Korean rib appetizer, which was good but messy. This Wouldn’t have been an issue if we’d been given extra napkins- which we weren’t. We also ordered the coconut shrimp which were delicious....More

Duke's La Jolla is named in honor of native Hawaiian Duke Kahanamoku, an Olympic swimming and water polo medalist and the father of modern surfing. Overlooking the La Jolla Cove, Duke's serves genuine, friendly hospitality with contemporary interpretations of traditional island plates. As a tribute to Hawaii and Southern California beach lifestyles, Duke's celebrates family, views and the spirit of aloha. We welcome our guests to become a part of our 'ohana.
