Just left. Arrived before the rush, no line outside yet and seated on patio. After 15 minutes tried to get the attention of three different servers and no one acknowledged. Horrible experience and will not be back.

One of the best breakfast places we have ever visited, anywhere. The portions were generous, the wait staff was attentive, the prices were reasonable, the variety of choices was broad and everything was delicious. Particular compliments on the apple & cinnamon baked pancake, the mandarin...More

I had always heard of the Richard Walker’s Pancake House downtown, and was happy to see them open a venue in La Jolla. Sunday mornings lead to lines out the door, which is always a good sign for the food inside the doors!! Pancakes, waffles,...More

We went to this restaurant because it was close to our hotel, it looked clean and had excellent ratings on Trip Advertiser. It did not disappoint. The portions were huge (we could have split my baked Mediterranean omelette), but it tasted so good I ate...More

This restaurant was convenient to our hotel, The Grand Colonial and we ate there twice during our three day trip to La Jolla. The pancakes and omelets were delicious as was the coffee. But the real standouts were the entire wait staff. Friendly, accommodating, and...More

My nephew's wedding the day before was quite the party. I apparently enjoyed myself because there are shaming videos to prove it. Darn cell phones. But we had to eat breakfast and Richard Walker's was luckily across from the Grande Colonial Hotel in La Jolla....More

no, they do not take reservations. It can get busy on the weekend, but the line goes quickly. Worth the wait.

Description
Since 1948, the Walker family name has become synonymous with quality family dining. The family has since perfected its reputation for outstanding gourmet pancakes and breakfasts. We offer a large variety of gourmet breakfast and lunch items, including pancakes, crepes, waffles, omelettes, Belgian waffles, and more! Richard Walker’s starts with the finest blend of whole Prime Roasted Coffee beans sourced from Central America with all its sealed-in flavor intact. Then, we ground just enough for each pot of coffee – one pot at a time. That rich, full-bodied flavor and aroma is retained in the freshly ground coffee itself. From there, it’s only a matter of a minute from the whole bean to a cup of the best coffee you have ever tasted.
