Our boss brought us here for lunch. We had a reservation. The restaurant was extremely disorganized. Slow to take our orders. We all ordered lunch plates--soup, salad, entree and cookies. Half came without the salad--the server said she would bring them later. She never did. No cookies ever arrived. My entree consisted of three tiny pieces of tofu and a... More

We had a reservation and when we walked in there were 1 or 2 other tables taken in a very large dining room. Even though there were no people there, service was slow. The rib appetizer was good, but the Eggs Benedict over crab cakes was terrible. Biscuit on the bottom was doughy, not cooked, the eggs were hard, and... More

Great food but too pricey for us. Love their happy hours prices and food. Best way to taste their reasonably portioned appetizers. Loved thier butterfly fish or something like that on their main menu. It literally melts in your mouth

Has Roy's installed new management within the past six months? We have been going to Roy's UTC for many years. Until recently, there were two parking spaces allocated Disabled Parking to the left of the front door.. Last week we noticed one space had been removed. Why? Does having only one Disabled Parking spot meet the ADA code for required... More

We went to Roy's as part of team lunch. Atmosphere was great and felt very festive. Amazing food, amazing ambiance & great service. I ordered fresh green salad & Teppanyaki Shrimp. Shrimp was amazingly crunchy, Juicyand tasty. In the end I ordered Belgian chocolate Torte, It was heaven. It came with berries and vanilla mousse. Also Lobster Potstickers, 3 pieces... More

It was a rainy day in San Diego and we needed a place that wasn't outdoors. Very disappointed with this establishment as the prices were high, service was below average and food was barely acceptable. When you spend $100 per person, you should be able to have your water glass filled. Chef signature dish, the fish trio, was bleh. I... More

We do the bar specials before seven because the kids are with us. From beginning to end, perfection. Have a mango margarita and it's perfect, not boozy, just delicious. We're tempted to order one of every appetizer but forgo the Mac n cheese( even though it looks the gooiest, yummiest at the next table) -and one other. Potstickers are filled... More

First of all, I am not a big seafood fan but our server made a great sales pitch for their butterfish. He said it was Roy's signature dish and customers keep coming back just for this amazing meal. He guaranteed that it was light, flaky and not at all fishy. Not only is the butterfish fishy, it is also very... More

Roy's is near our condo and frankly in over 3 year, we have never been disappointed. This time we get a special deal and go with friends. We share crispy chicken spring rolls. Very tasty but a little greasy. The Caesar salad is perfect. For me it's the right size although some might say it's on the small size. Our... More

We purchased a food voucher through Travelzoo for a four course pre-set dinner for four. Our cost was $115; the reported value was $240. Upon arrival, we ordered mixed drinks (nothing special and very small) and our dinner choices. We waited over a half-hour for the spring roll appetizer which was ample and quite good. The warmed lettuce leaf salad... More
