While the wait can seem a bit long, they have now added a new bar with seating and food service. You can also make reservations now for the top floor

Dinner at sunset on the ocean terrace. Friendly, engaged and knowledgeable service from all staffers--hostess, server and bus staff. Famous soup is legit! Fish tacos were fresh, light and perfect starters. My wife said the halibut was the best she ever had; I tried the...More

The perfect place for an evening drink while watching the sunset. It has a cool, hip and sophisticated feel. Note that they have both an indoor (downstairs) dinning area and an upstairs (open air) area as well. If the weather is permitting, upstairs is where...More

This is one of the best places to dine for a special celebration or when friends come to town. Wow, nothing can be the view from the roof top dining. It's liking looking over the Italian Riviera. Great food and drinks too! Can't wait to...More

Visited for drinks on a Sunday and got stuck in the middle of a pre wedding celebration. Not allowed to use the outside patio unless you order food. Drinks were O.K but nothing special. There are better places in La Jolla for cocktails.

My second time here, also for lunch on a spectacular sunny day. Attracted by the menu, which contains many unique dishes. I just had the shortrib panini, which went well with the two Rye La Jollan cocktails. Nice deserts and espresso.

Description
George's at the Cove is a renowned three-level dining destination located in the heart of La Jolla overlooking the Pacific Ocean and northern coastline. We offer three distinct restaurant and bar concepts – one fine dining and two casual – with stunning ocean views and award-winning cuisine.

Known for its splendid rooftop setting, the popular George’s Ocean Terrace – complete with a newly expanded and elevated bar – offers casual al fresco fare for lunch and dinner that is perfectly complemented by sweeping ocean views.

Recently reinvented from floor to ceiling, the all-new George’s Level2 – located on the second level – is elevating the craft of cocktails with housemade ingredients and handcut ice. Featuring all the classics and innovative modern creations, like the signature Sea3, Level2 offers a variety of cocktails well-suited to any taste.

On the lower level, George's California Modern is a contemporary fine dining restaurant and bar featuring seasonally-driven California cuisine. Guests are invited to explore “San Diego on a plate” through a la carte or tasting menus inspired by the lifestyle, ingredients and sense of place that is San Diego.

Whether celebrating a special occasion or simply looking to enjoy the San Diego lifestyle to its fullest, George’s at the Cove is an essential part of any visit to the region.
