We reserved far in advance to sit on the terrace and had great memories of a prior meal from years ago. We were extremely disappointed. Service was horrible. The appetizers took a while, but the main course took over an hour. It was so bad no one would meet our eyes or answer our waves...so we also didn't get a... More

You really get to pick from three restaurants with different feel, drink menus and prices. At the top floor, the outdoor but covered "patio" has a fun, edgy but relaxed feel to it with specialty drinks and a great, more youthful atmosphere. The middle section has a standard bar with a better food selection in a more intimate and sophisticated... More

What's not to love about this place? Amazing food and drink. Beyond amazing views. Great ambiance. Seasonal and not ridiculously priced given the quality. If you are in SD/La Jolla this George's is a must.

We tried the potato bread, chips and salsa and of course the tacos. We enjoyed the views and the food and had the warm chocolate cake for dessert. Loved it.

One of the "fine dining" restaurants in La Jolla, the food is terrific, but very pricey in the main dining room. The patio area is much more reasonably priced and well worth a visit.

We sat on the terrace and had great views! We were there with 8 family members, 3 of those were small children who wanted to see and hear the sea lions, Our waiter was slow and the $40 "medium rare" Filet Mignon was served "well done" (not even pink). When the new fillet arrived, the other family members were done... More

Three friends who have not seen each other in over 40 years decided to come to this place for drinks and dinner to mark the special occasion. The location, the view and the drinks were appropriate. The food was not so special. We ordered some appetizers and prime rib, plank salmon and shrimp with pasta for the main courses. The... More

George's has a primo view of the ocean, and great food. I had the potato gnocchi -- some of the best I've ever had, but not quite as good as my Italian - Croatian grandmother's gnocchi. :) The hostess was not very helpful. We asked to sit by the windows overlooking the cove. We watched as 5 view tables opened... More

We came for lunch and enjoyed the beautiful view. We were able to snag the corner table, which allows panoramic views of the cove! The chips served with the guacamole were delicious, however the tuna in the tacos and tuna sandwich was over cooked and dry. The hit of lunch was the semolina chicken sandwich, which received rave reviews. Overall... More
