We stopped at George's for a late lunch. The view is spectacular but the cold ocean breezes made it freezing in the restaurant. I had the short rib panini and my wife had the crispy chicken sandwich. Both sandwiches were good, but the accompanying salad was disappointing. The dressing needed some sweetness and a bit more care was needed preparing... More

I have been to Georges many times over the years and it is ALWAYS superb. I love the food - healthy Californian faire. The service is always good. And I love the view - one of the best in the world. My favorite.

We were scheduled to eat a three-course Thanksgiving dinner here, but ended up on their upper deck overlooking the water. The menu was much less interesting, but the food was still tasty. Best choice was the butternut squash linguine--really beautiful. Service was okay but it was obvious that they want to move people along once you eat; we would have... More

We had a business dinner here. Actually I only chose the location since I heard that La Jolla was a nice place on beach to enjoy sea food. Our business partner chose this restaurant. The dinner was excellent and we close it with wine. Unfortunately we took dinner after dark so we couldn't enjoy the beach view and the seal.

We have been here several times, but this time was extra special. We went with the architect who designed the beautiful restaurant, so they treated us royally, with several complimentary dishes. I expressed curiosity about the stinging nettle spaghetti, so they brought us some to share. We also had persimmons, beets, amrid all kinds of other goodies as first courses.... More

This place was just too busy and the staff couldn't cope. Food was good quality, again a bit pricey but I suppose that's a function of the location as great views over the ocean. Wouldn't rush back but worth going to the bar upstairs for a drink..
