The view is amazing on the terrace, but the food was mediocre. We had tuna, which was overcooked, dry, and very small. Some of the other meals looked good.

The outdoor patio level is worth the wait, especially if you get an ocean side table. You are looking over the iconic La Jolla cove. Watching the surfers, seals, and beachgoers while you enjoy the mixologist's fresh and delicious concoctions. Service was OK, but definitely not rushed. Food was delicious, burgers, fish tacos, and actually very reasonable for the real... More

Highly recommended by friends. Didn't disappoint. We dined at the California Modern-- there are three different restaurants all part of George's. Wonderfully attentive wait staff, great wine list, food was fabulous. The views were fantastic too. We grabbed a drink first at the very top (outside) before dining inside at our restaurant.

We love coming here and sitting on the rooftop it's romantic, fun, and more recently remodeled. Go in the afternoon evening and catch the sunset! Food is definitely NOT worth the price. It is just so so BUT the drinks are great, the view is great and there is always a vibrant atmosphere!

What a fun experience we all had at George's when we sat at the bar (think it was on the first level) and sampled and watched the talented Mixologist create incredible, creative cocktails for us. He was a delight to watch and his drinks were delicious. Also ordered a 4 course appetizer that we ate at the bar. The whole... More

George's has three levels - Fine dining Level 1, Cocktails Level 2, and Casual-Upscale Outdoor Patio Level 3. What a view, and the food was great. As was the service. A friend told us this was a "must-do," and we are glad we did. Reservations strongly recommended.

Fantastic view of the Pacific Ocean - lazy cool sea breeze - awesome atmosphere - very attentive staff - food out of this world crazy good - best lunch spot on Planet Earth - I could stay there for hours - it's a very hot spot so call ahead for reservations at least 90 minutes before you arrive - they... A lot of people told us that this was a tourist trap, they were right, the food is average, although the 2nd floor view of the sea is very good, but there are other restaurants nearby better than this one, we had a rough time trying to decide our plates on the menu.

I have read contradictory reviews of George's, but we had a wonderful time. We ate at the California Modern level of the restaurant. From the start, the experience was exceptional. The sourdough wheat bread was steaming when we split it open, and it had a great crispy crust. Our starters, grilled octopus and snapper crudo, were among the best we... More

Lively place with delicious food. Generous servings of fresh, creative food. A local gem. We were actually too full to have dessert! We'll just have to go back.

Description
George's at the Cove is a renowned three-level dining destination located in the heart of La Jolla overlooking the Pacific Ocean and northern coastline. We offer three distinct restaurant and bar concepts – one fine dining and two casual – with stunning ocean views and award-winning cuisine.

Known for its splendid rooftop setting, the popular George’s Ocean Terrace – complete with a newly expanded and elevated bar – offers casual al fresco fare for lunch and dinner that is perfectly complemented by sweeping ocean views.

Recently reinvented from floor to ceiling, the all-new George’s Level2 – located on the second level – is elevating the craft of cocktails with housemade ingredients and handcut ice. Featuring all the classics and innovative modern creations, like the signature Sea3, Level2 offers a variety of cocktails well-suited to any taste.

On the lower level, George's California Modern is a contemporary fine dining restaurant and bar featuring seasonally-driven California cuisine. Guests are invited to explore “San Diego on a plate” through a la carte or tasting menus inspired by the lifestyle, ingredients and sense of place that is San Diego.

Whether celebrating a special occasion or simply looking to enjoy the San Diego lifestyle to its fullest, George’s at the Cove is an essential part of any visit to the region.
