Get there early, stay late and enjoy the view and an incredible sunset. Food is above average. Service was great...they are used to taking pictures of their customers. Nice drink selection too. Parking is an issue on the weekend.

We'd heard about the view from the terrace - which is spectacular - so had planned to just pop in for an afternoon cocktail. But we decided to order some starters, which we enjoyed so much that we ordered a few entrees to share as...More

Ceviche was delicious and it looked like every table had it as an appetizer. We arrived early for our reservation and the hostess was so accommodating and set us up at the bar for drinks. Everyone was very friendly, and the service in the bar...More

The restaurant is located on the Prospect St, but its back is toward the Pacific Ocean. The ocean view is amazing if you sit on the top floor. Both the taste and presentation of food are excellent.

It would be hard to beat this view looking out over the ocean. We had great cocktails and very tasty sandwiches at lunchtime. Beautiful setting for a relaxing meal.

The setting is wonderful (terrace overlooks the ocean, with a constant breeze and sunshine); food was ok. Perfect for a party of old time school friends.

I have had the opportunity to attend group events and to enjoy intimate lunches with good friends at George's. The views, food and service are all wonderful!

You will see a little of everything. It is California! I would highly recommend the rooftop dining. The view is amazing. There is a breeze, but they also have heaters they can put by your table.

We had to park on a side-street just down the road. It wasn't far and there was no charge.

Description
George's at the Cove is a renowned three-level dining destination located in the heart of La Jolla overlooking the Pacific Ocean and northern coastline. We offer three distinct restaurant and bar concepts – one fine dining and two casual – with stunning ocean views and award-winning cuisine.

Known for its splendid rooftop setting, the popular George’s Ocean Terrace – complete with a newly expanded and elevated bar – offers casual al fresco fare for lunch and dinner that is perfectly complemented by sweeping ocean views.

Recently reinvented from floor to ceiling, the all-new George’s Level2 – located on the second level – is elevating the craft of cocktails with housemade ingredients and handcut ice. Featuring all the classics and innovative modern creations, like the signature Sea3, Level2 offers a variety of cocktails well-suited to any taste.

On the lower level, George's California Modern is a contemporary fine dining restaurant and bar featuring seasonally-driven California cuisine. Guests are invited to explore “San Diego on a plate” through a la carte or tasting menus inspired by the lifestyle, ingredients and sense of place that is San Diego.

Whether celebrating a special occasion or simply looking to enjoy the San Diego lifestyle to its fullest, George’s at the Cove is an essential part of any visit to the region.
