Nice restaurant, friendly quick service. High quality seafood. Not exactly the place to go if you're on a tight budget. Perhaps something for grown-ups to treat themselves to if the kids can be left at home with someone else.

We had a marvelous lunch at the Crab Catcher in La Jolla. We were seated at a window table for two which was a private bump-out window. So romantic. The wine offerings were good and the food was delicious. We were never rushed and were allowed to dine at our leisure. We had the crab cakes and the special seafood... More

I reserved a table at this elite restaurant for my family to celebrate two very special occasions- doctorate degree and milestone birthday. Because we wanted to relax and enjoy, we booked on a week night to avoid crowds. The restaurant was fairly empty and plenty of staff to accommodate. We were seated at least 10 minutes before we were approached... More

When we pulled into La Jolla, we were hungry for some food and the name of this restaurant cal when we pulls in to La Jolla, we were hungry for some food and the name of this restaurant caught our eye. The Watch offerings lunch offerings were meager, small portion, and overpriced. Expected more from this prime location. Confident there... More

Colin is cold, rude and, has no communication skills, he does not look the part either. Very odd person. Nothing like any of the other managers and waiters. Why would you ruin a good thing with a guy like that. He spoke very rude to me, and I have been going there long before he was there.

We were a party of 10 on a Saturday night and were able to be seated within 30 minutes with no reservation. We were not seated facing the ocean but we had a great table in the courtyard where the service was very good. Had cocktails and appetizers which were excellent (calamari was very tender) and the entrees were all... More

We arrived in La Jolla right at dinner time, hungry. Parked in a garage and walked to some restaurants to see their menus and settled on the Crab Catcher. The hostess got us a very nice table once removed from the beautiful view. Not bad for not reservation. The food was great, service great, just very, very nice. A lot... More

Fish taco was excellent and @ $3 a very good value. Also the crab ceviche tacos were excellent, worth the price for three.
