Tantalizing Crepes, Sweet Smoothies

Lovely little shop on Pearl street with outdoor seating and pandemic policies in place (mask, social distancing, sanitary procedures). We opted for the sweet crepes (mine caramel and almonds, my companion had bananas and peanut butter). It was quite the artistry and flair with which the shopkeeper created the crepe and prepared the fillings and absolutely delicious! We also had a couple of yogurt smoothies that were fresh and fantastic. Highly recommend this place!

Great frozen yogurt

Stopped in after dinner. Wide range of frozen yogurt, crepes, shakes, etc. I had the cookies and cream which was great. Family owned.

Little gem of a yogurt shop

We were looking for frozen yogurt near the Empress Hotel and were advised to try this place. We got a 20% discount by showing room key and it was a lovely (about 6 block walk) in the evening. We enjoyed it so much we went back the next evening as well. The staff was so friendly and gave us suggestions. We all tried different things, for eg. I had peanut butter frozen yogurt and employee suggested adding Nutella hot fudge-yum! They have different sizes and also coffee and crepes. The next night staff remembered us and welcomed us back. There is limited seating inside and also tables outside. You cannot go wrong by stopping in there!!

Friendly, but added frozen needed

After a disappointing dinner we wanted to end the night on a sweet note. Sadly this lacked both the flavor and the frozen. The chocolate flavor was a melting mess when handed to us. The peanut butter flavor was frozen but lacked the flavor.

You can choose from 4 different flavours (peanut butter, vanilla, chocolate and natural) and many different toppings. We enjoyed the taste and the very nice arrangement of our ice cream.

Excellent Yogurt

I have to strongly disagree with the posting “Yorgurt freak”, I have to believe this person just wants to serve their own. I am a great fan of Yogurtland and am a regular there, but Froglander's was every bit as good in not better. It was rich and creamy. Unlike most yogurt shops these days, they do have it behind a counter and prepare it for you. The staff were friendly and unlike many other yogurt shops they have numerous other options like smoothies and other desserts.

Greatest yogurt experience

After visiting Froglanders with some of my La Jolla native friends, I have to say it is now my favorite yogurt place in San Diego. The selection of yogurt is very good, and I've never had such rich creamy chocolate yogurt, almost tastes like ice cream but it's non-fat. I guess that's why it's Ghiradeli chocolate. If you love peanut butter, this is the place for you, as the owner told me Peanut butter is a constant flavor, meaning they don't rotate out of peanut butter ever. I got the peanut butter with chocolate mix with crushed Reese's peanut butter cups. Omg I was in Peanut butter heaven. One of my friends got the Peanut butter monkey shake with the owner's suggestion of adding chocolate to it as well. If you are by the area and love Froyo, you can't miss this place.

Yorgurt freak

THis yogurt place is the worst I have visited. The Yogurt tastes artifical unlike Yorgurtland and Yogurt on the Rocks. All their flavors have an aftertaste as if they had artificially sweetened them. I recommend going to a different yogurt shop .

Toppings galore!

Normally I'm used to getting toppings sprinkled on at the end after the yogurt has been loaded into the cup. While the first few spoonfuls are loaded with goodies, after the top layer is gone, it gets less exciting. Not so at Froglander's! First off, one topping is included in the price. Secondly, they start the process by layering the toppings on the bottom first...I guess it should be called bottomings! Next, they load up the yogurt and finally they pack more goodies onto the top. They don't always have it, but if they do, the salted caramel with Heath bar bottoming is amazing...worth the trip just for that.
