Really great place in La Jolla. Been here a few times now. Seating can be tough, but if you're lucky to snag a table, you can enjoy the laid back atmosphere and great fresh fish. My favorite is the Tuna, but there's a lot of different varieties of fish prepared in many different ways. Excellent!

This is a seafood market with lots of seafood on display. Order at the counter, pick up your drink and put the number they give you on you table so they know where to deliver your order. Two high long communal tables with stools and about 6 regular 4 seat individual tables, not a lot of seating. We were there... More

This was my second visit to El Pescador Fish Market. Like the first a year ago the place was packed. The meal for the five of us was very reasonable and as tasty as I remember. The staff was friendly and very helpful.

Delicious fresh fish and stew, but limited seating. We were packed in next to others at large tables. Very fresh and generous portions at a reasonable price. Guess we know why it is packed. No view! Just good solid food and prices.

We always head for El Pescador Fish Market when we visit La Jolla and have been going there for the past 3 years. Friendly atmosphere and wonderful fresh fish . In fact we like the place so much we had lunch there twice during our 10 day visit this year. The locally caught Thresher Shark charcoal grilled is amazing and... More

El Pescador is a fish market that serves food on paper plates, both indoors and outdoors. The indoor space is pretty crowded and impersonal, so we ate outside amid traffic noise. The food was very good and the prices were moderate.

No frills, paper plates, and communal seating. A zillion fish options, except nothing is fried. A fish market that will cook your food and sell you a beer or a glass of wine to go with it. They even had Yellowtail collar! Most enjoyable.

My wife and I had had a very nice experience at El Pescador Fish Market last night. The staff was inviting, the display of fresh fish was overflowing with gorgeously filled with an amazing array of fresh fish. The restaurant is inviting with clean, bright curb appeal at night. Inside, the layout is open with white tile floors, tall tables,... More
