Stopped here for lunch after a nice hike & was very impressed with the authentic Mexican food. This is not a fancy place at all, but the food is delicious and the beer is cold! Very hard to find parking over Labor Day weekend, but worth the walk when you do finally find a place to park! Great tacos, burritos... More

For years we've visited Tacos Jalisco for take-out burritos, but recently the menu has expanded and there's some attractive seating outside. On our last visit we got relllenos that were the best we've had anywhere in a long time -- not over-battered, good chile flavor. Also cheese enchiladas, again with excellent flavor of the cheese, the tortillas and particularly the... More

This is not fancy. You are seated in this lady's kitchen and she makes your order and brings it to you. Everything is fresh and home made. I've had the fish tacos, veggie tacos, quesadillas, the rice and refried beans. I have not tasted better Mexican food anywhere. You must try the avocado salsa.

Basic, good tacos, very original. Tacos of all varieties, even lengua and cabeca! Good fish tacos. Just roadside taco stand, nothing fancy!

My family and I had a delightfully yummy meal after a day at the beach. Home made tortillas were hot and fresh. My son and I had the fish tacos, my husband had the pork burrito, and my youngest son had a cheese quesadillo. We were all very happy we stopped here. Not much room inside, butseating outside. We highly... More

Dropped in to this little hole in the wall after a day of lake activities. The restaurant has some picnic table seating outside, but it's really more of a take out than dine in kind of place (which is why I give it an overall "Average" rating, instead of "Very Good"). I had a shredded beef burrito and my son... More

Family ate here for lunch. All food homeade right there in front of us. Nice service. My credit cards were blocked at the bank so I paid with cash. $28.00. Paid with 2 twenties and got$12 back. I counted 10 from the tip basket, then threw 5 1s back in. Ladys scoweled at me for stealing. Food was good, though.

I live near LA and love Mexican food, so I'm fairly familiar with it. Usually the best is found in a hole in the wall like this one, so that wasn't a turnoff. The place is amazingly tiny, and was clearly a small house in its first incarnation. I wanted a nice fat burrito to take back to my hotel... More

We have had a cabin in Lake Tahoe for over 25 years and Tacos Jalisco always looked like kind of a scary place to get food. The food is very good and generous. There is really no place to eat inside and outside has two picnic tables with a covered shade ontop. Definitely for take out but very good at... More

The restaurant is the front room of a house. The food is Cooked to order by mama and is delicious and authentic. Eat at the simple tables or take it to go. Great value compared to prices in the area.
