Last Thursday we [a party of six] went to Lanza's, one of our favorite Lake Tahoe North shore restaurants. We have been dining there since 1978. I always have the same thing as in salad and Spaghetti Marinara. My BFF always has Eggplant Parmesan. The rest of the group had a variety of other entrees. My spaghetti was dreadful. The... More

Great atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious food and drink menu. Also great value for money as portions are huge and you can box them up if you can't finish. Would absolutely go again.

Can you say "the size of a steering wheel"? The Veal Parmesan is delicious and absolutely huge. While not inexpensive, the portion of absolutely fabulous and authentically old world, Italian Veal Parmesan is amazing. Three large veal cutlets are lightly seasoned, breaded and fried. Then they are layered with a tasty marinara in individual baking dishes and topped with creamy,... More

This is a great (LAND MARK) Restaurant !... The food is amazing!!! I had the Lasagna and my friend had the Chicken Cacciatore, both fantastic dishes and the portions are massive!! Service was pretty good but somewhat slow. Just depends on the night of the week. We were there on a Thursday night. Lanza's has a nice vintage, quaint feeling... More

Because it was recommended and close to the hotel, we tried this Italian place, but probably wouldn't return. The wine selection is weak for a CA restaurant. The gluten free menu is over stated - limited options. Basic red sauce and pasta place.

Came to Lanzas for a late dinner and was looking forward to some tasty Italian food. Place was packed and was told that we would have a 25 to 30 minute wait. We put our name in and went into the bar area which was crowded and a little chaotic. The bartender seemed to service people in a completely random... More

You won't be reminded of your summer foodie visit to Tuscany here, but the food is piping hot and the space feels nice. The quality of ingredients just didn't cut it to the point where I can give a good review. It tasted like kid's food: boxed pasta, canned tomato sauce, dried spices with a bunch of homogenized cheese baked... More

I've been here several times. It's good bang for the buck. Seems like you either have very expensive higher end restaurants or very casual. This fits in between and great for families. Meanwhile food can be inconsistent, over cooked and under seasoned. I can say the service has been good always and friendly. It is surely very reasonable.

Suggested by my daughter-in-law and my granddaughters who live in Kings Beach Lanza's was well worth the visit. The place was crowed at the time but we were able to get a comfortable table and had good service. The food was very good and so much that we took some home to enjoy the next day.. The price was not... More

This place has solid family style Italian food at very reasonable prices. Portions are large enough to share at the table and the service is great. Perfect place to go early with kids while visiting north Lake Tahoe. The lasagna is amazing but very rich. Overall for us it's a staple in our Tahoe adventures.
