Delicious burgers in a mountain hideaway a must try for everyone. Home of the 40 oz porterhouse! There is a burger hut outside and a sit down restaurant inside.Get you some!

Just ate at "Ewing's on the Kern" for the first time and it was awesome! Great food and service; we will definitely come back again and recommend it to others! Yum!

It was a friend's birthday and we were on weekend fishing trip. Had heard about McNallys and made reservation . The rustic bar and dining room were perfect. Friendly service, good cocktails, decent wine and a great steaks. I had filet with butterfly shrimp; both were great . Located right on river with a foot bridge. A nice surprise in... More

Waited for winter to end to head up to this reataurant! Ate here many times years ago. Made reservation and upon entering several other customers were all herded to tables by the bartender! Service was fair considering price for food! Can't say as though I will be going back. Not worth the drive!

This has always been one of my treats -- to drive up river to see the white water and have a burger. This Sunday was not different EXCEPT the burger was terrible. It was dry, overcooked and tasteless. Very disappointing. When Kathy and her husband ran the Burger Stand it was always good...these new people really don't seem to know... More

Service was a little shaky but from what I understand, this was the first day opening after they close for the winter. But, the owner came out to help and it was really cool they were super nice and the food more than made up for it.

We ordered porterhouse steak and hamburgers and were not disappointed. There's an old fellow outside the back of the restaurant throwing horseshoes. He's pretty good. After dinner we walked the footbridge over the Kern River and watched the tubers float along the river. It was a great two-hour stop for late lunch on a lazy Saturday in July.

One of the best restaurants on the Kern River. Of course, you could opt for the 40 ounce steak although I woruldn't recommend it. It's enough for 4 people...easily. We were never disappointed in the food and, once in a while, the entertainment can be staggering. While we were there we had the opportunity to listen and meet Lacey J.... More

Staying at Durrwood B&B and fortunately McNally's was just down the road a piece. Plenty of steak choices and very well done. From families to bikers, all enjoyed the service and the food.

After traveling miles & miles of nothing but forestry we came along this little restaurant not to far from kernville. My boyfriend & I were so happy to find this place because we were real hungry. The food is pretty good & fair priced. It was a long wait though.
