I have never been disappointed with this place. The food is fresh and so tasty bite by bite! All the flavors are so filling! My mom had the ravioli and commented, "To die for!" And have had the "pesto gnocchi" several times and it melts...in your mouth!" Crazy delicious! Could eat everything on the menu for lunch and dinner! Can't wait til you are able to open again!More

I almost dont want to write this review out of fear of the place becoming to popular. This is our go to lunch spot when visiting the Kenwood/Glen Allen area. The half size portion is perfect for lunch. I suggest getting the white clam sauce....Also bring a bottle from one of the local wineries to enjoy with lunch.More

We thoroughly enjoyed Cafe Citti! We ate the half chicken with pasta and everything was delicious. We had the Marinara sauce and the Pesto. Portions were plenty and because it was so delicious, we had to try the desserts. We tried the Cannoli and my...favorite was the Tiramisu. The atmosphere was delightful. All the tables were filled and the chatter and laughter made us feel as if we were in Italy. I highly recommend Cafe Citti. It exceeded our expectations.More

This place was recommended by the woman who did our tasting at Imagery and it was well worth stopping at. It's fairly small and you order at a counter but then they wait on the table after that. The food is freshly made and fantastic!...Plus we were able to bring in our own bottle of wine for them to uncork at no charge. Very cozy place - I would definitely go back!More

A semi hidden gem that you might drive pass without noticing. Words can’t do justice describing the cuisine here. Knowing that they do not accept reservations, we decided to arrive 10 minutes before they opened for dinner and literally watched a small line form on...a drizzly Sunday evening. People lined up in the dark and rain says it all. The menu is listed over the counter in the back as you place your order and then it’s brought to you. Too many items to choose as there’s set specials, salads, pizzas, sandwiches, selection of pasta with selections of sauces. We decided on the calamari to start, followed by Caesar salads. The calamari came with a wonderful aioli dipping sauce and the calamari were crisp and not a bit of oil. The salad dressing was garlicky, but still traditional and each topped with an anchovy. Bread had come out earlier (2 types) as they had olive oil, balsamic vinegar and Parmesan on the table to you could top as you preferred (butter came with the bread as well). Our entree selections were a linguini with a Puttanesca sauce and served with steam still escaping. The other was the gnocchi special that had a Gorgonzola sauce topped with roasted red peppers. Make sure you accept more bread when offered as we soaked up every bit of sauce when the other components were gone. The Puttanesca was wonderful and the gnocchis were like little clouds. Lunch features sandwiches and salads and quite an array of prepared salads. Speaking of prepared, their carry out business was just as busy as the dining room and constant the whole evening. This is well worth any drive (we drove 40 minutes) and multiple visits.More

I got a turkey sandwich that was fantastic too. the gnochi was...also really good. we brought our own bottles of wine to drink which was a great option. probably the best meal we ate while in wine country. The dessert was quite good too!!!More

We had a great lunch at Cafe Citti. My sister and I opted to split a roast beef sandwich and have a cup of soup. The soup was a light broth with pasta in it. The roast beef sandwich was really great - thinly slice...rare roast beef with lettuce and tomatoes. Their sandwiches and sides are very generous and really enough for two to share. You order at the counter and your order is brought out to you at their nicely set tables. You pay at the cashier when you are finished.More

Cafe Citti has been a local favorite for Italian food for a generation. Outstanding pasta - the lasagna is our favorite. And they have Pliny the Elder on tap! Highly recommend.

This Italian eatery is popular with the locals. It provides familiar dishes for both eating inside and takeout. The food is good and the place is very comfortable and relaxed. One orders at a window and food is delivered to you. Nice for a quick...bite but this is not a fast food place.More
