Enjoyed an outstanding wine and food pairing at the Reserve Room. The wine and food are delectable. The owner, Jeff, even stopped in while we were there and stopped by each table. Fabulous personalized service - nothing like having a personal chef to describe each food and wine experience. Their wines can stand on their own or with food. Truly... More

Open later than most - but please be respectful if you have been tasting all day. Great wines, we've been members for years and love stopping in here to see what is new and enjoy a special bond and special treatment.

Friendly staff, dog friendly, great wines. Lovely garden. Nice location......Sonoma wineries so much more lovely than Napa. Not pretentious but GREAT wines.

Perhaps our favorite place in the area. We've had many great dishes here and taken the ideas home. Been a member of their wine club since 2005.

My wife were there for a mid-day Thursday wine and food pairing. There was one other couple that had a reservation at the same time. Reservations are required, I believe. We were visiting Sonoma to celebrate a birthday (mine!) and this was one of the events we scheduled ahead of time based on a recommendation we had read in a... More

Six of us went for a 4:30 seating at Mayo. Everything was ready for us to be seated and begin this superb combination of food and wine. The chef was very knowledgable about the combination of favors with the wines. We ate and tasted our way through 6 small appetizer courses which were all perfect combinations. We ended with a... The Mayo Reserve room is one of the great experiences you can have in Kenwood, which in itself is in my opinion is one of the best places to visit in California wine country. Be warned, you need to make reservations for the Reserve Room since there is very limited seating. There are 7 pairings in all, each featuring a... More

I gave Mayo an average rating because the food was not great. The wine was pretty good (especially at the end of a day of tasting). The energy and the people, however, made the place somewhere I might return. We had so much fun there and it is so laid back, it was overall a great experience.

You're in wine country so why not act like you know the ropes even when you don't. A food and wine pairing at Mayo will put you on your way to being a real wineologist! It's a fun way to spend a couple of hours sampling good wines from the Sonoma region and being served mysterious but tasty little dishes... More

The Reserve Room takes you on the ultimate wine country tasting journey unlike anything you've experienced in a wine tasting room before! Not only can you taste our reserve label wines, but you are taken on a food and wine adventure with Executive Chef, J. Clayton Lewis! Each guest takes a seat in our comfortable and intimate room where you can enjoy wine-inspired art, a little music and views of the hillside vineyards of Kenwood located just out our window. You are then treated to a seven-course pairing menu that includes seven Mayo Family Reserve wines crafted by Winemaker Michel Berthoud and seven artisian bites created and prepared by Chef J. Clayton Lewis to compliment each wine. The Mayo Family RESERVE ROOM is our opportunity to take you further into the wine and food experience that defines Wine Country.
