We had been tasting in the area and needed food bad about 3:00. Not just any food ( foodies) but missed the normal lunch time. We had been told by many friends Salt & Stone was Really good. So only Bar seating.... and that didn’t...More

We had a very good dinner. The pate was good. The short ribs were cooked very well. I'd say the service was good, although the waiter seemed to want to move us along. We suggest to take a bottle of wine and pay the corkage...More

We visited here while staying in Kenwood. Our waiter was stellar, food was good, but there were some issues. I have food allergies (carry an Epipen) but as the menu spelled out what was in each dish, it seemed easy enough to 'eat around' them....More

We went with another couple for dinner last night. The food was delicious, we all had the petroleum sole which was tender and lightly coated with bread crumbs. The sauce was light and tasty. The portions was very generaous. Salads were dressed with a delicious...More

I have only been to S and S for lunch. So, I am not sure about dinner but based on the difficulty of getting a reservation, it must be good. Our waiter was very much like those I've experienced in Europe: always there but not...More

We enjoyed a delicious dinner and wine! Great selections on the menu! There was a bar area separate from the quiets dining setting. Something for everyone.

We recently had lunch here. The restaurant reopened after Kenwood Restaurant closed some time ago. The new owners are the same people who operate Cafe Beaujolais in Mendocino. The two dining rooms are spacious and the outdoor patio will be nice when the weather improves. I...More

When Salt and Stone opened we gave it a try immediately and fell in love. We have been to dinner either out on the patio in good weather, or drinks and dinner in the bar more than ten times. We have referred many friends and...More

Had an early dinner with friends - the service was spot-on, checked often enough for us to feel cared for but not too often to be intrusive. The dinner specials were amazing and the wait staff suggested the perfect wine pairing. Not hurried, great atmosphere...More

One of our party had to have a fried chicken fix so we went for the Tuesday night Bistro Special. $30 for a 3-course fried chicken dinner. Very good, though the chocolate crepe for dessert is disappointing. One of our group says the Caesar salad...More

Most Kenwood restaurants are free or a nominal charge if they don’t have the wine you bring to the restaurant. Salt is very new but definitely one of the best. Ask for DIANE the owner and say you read this review.
